Offer on 2017 SHAWD Advance

One week ago, the dealer from whom I purchased my current 2014 RLX called to see if I was interested in the dealer's one remaining 2017 RLX SHAWD Advance for $10,000 off the sticker price. So the offer for what is effectively a one-year old new car is $56,900. I just checked the dealer's website, and the car is still listed in the dealer's new-car inventory, so it has apparently not been sold since the phone conversation. According to the VIN, this one is no. 160.

I'm not sure what kind of incentives, if any, Honda is giving its dealers to get rid of 2017 inventory, but I'm thinking about waiting until the end of the month and offering $52,000. If the price is right, then maybe I'll go for it but it won't break my heart if I can't make the deal or if someone else buys it. In your opinion, is $52,000 reasonable?

I paid $54,500 for a Tech. Lets just leave it at that. Go get it! You will love it.

The 2018 Sport Hybrid Advance, which is the only trim level for 2018 has a list price of $62,500, $4 k less than the 2017. While there are some aesthetic design changes for 2018 there are few significant changes. Seems to me you should probably get a better deal. The 2018 are showing up in dealer showrooms now.

Paid $51,259, which includes tint and a spare-tire kit. Just picked it up, but judging by your comments over the years, it will be a terrific ride. Thanks, folks, for your insights on pricing.

Offer $50k for it, they are not going to sell it for more of the cost of a 2018 which are cheaper then the 2017's.
