Just had the Homelink TSB done and have had the same experience as Tampa. It was horrible to try to use it before thE TSB. When I first got the car and complained to the dealer, the response was they knew about the short range but there was no fix. It made me feel like they were saying "hard cheese".

The TSB has restored some of my faith in why I have bought Acura's for almost 30 years. They are reliable, well made cars with great technology and a handling profile I like. The Homelink range is pretty low on the scale of significance but sometime it is the little things that can be a big annoyance. Anyway, my range is now on par with most cars. I really couldn't figure out why Acura had an issue with technology that was decades old. I guess it was caused by the new technology interfering with old technology. Just moving the location of the transmitting unit within the housing with some velcro seems like a pretty low budget fix but it works like a charm.
