door handle lock/unlock

woo hoo - no more constant unlocking/locking when washing the car!

Actually, I did have a 2006 RL, and now I recall what you're referring to. Mike_TX, there was a problem with the touch lock/unlock door handles when then got wet (like after a car washing). I had to have both the driver and passenger handles replaced.

Yup, the infamous high-pressure water-mediated transient lock failure.

Good that it's gone.

did not even have to be high pressure
hand wash door handle and it went nuts

Actually, I DID have a 2006 RL, but I never had that problem.

I think I do recall some discussion of it now, though.

No, the fob is ALWAYS in my pocket. lol.

But to be honest, my dealer provides complimentary car washes and they did most of them.

Still, I think I recall that was an issue that afflicted only some of the RL's.
