Could I replace my ELS amplifier to a Krell in a 2015 RLX tech, and were is the location of my amplifier?

I think there are a few problems with replacing the ELS amplifier in your RLX with a Krell model.

1. Buying the replacement Krell amplifier would likely be prohibitively expensive (as most automotive replacement parts are) and there is no guarantee that the wiring bundle it requires is present in your RLX Tech.

2. The Krell sound system is just that...a system that works together meaning that just adding the amplifier to the ELS system may or may not improve the overall sound you hear. The Krell system also features different speakers specifically tuned for the RLX and without those, you are unlikely to enjoy the same clarity of sound.

3. Many audio components and their associated wiring are buried deep in the car during assembly and the logistics of finding them and replacing them involves removing a lot of parts and each reassembly you do becomes a potential rattle or squeak in the future.

Bottom line, it may be easier and cheaper to simply trade in your RLX tech for a model with the Krell sound system you covet rather than go through the hassle of trying to replace your existing sound system.

Just my two cents.
