Ceramic Coat

Got my '17 Sport Hybrid ceramic coated. Shopped around and decided to go with Opti-Coat Pro PLUS for (supposed) durability versus other coatings with more pop (i.e. Modesta). I had the shop put on XPEL ppf before the coating on hood, front bumper, head lights, fog lights, side view mirrors and rear bumper.

So far, pleased with the result.

Thanks to pgeorg for the advice!

@vtec_v6 I've been thinking about doing the same. Please let us know how it works out for you over the next couple of weeks. I've heard mixed reviews.

@JasonT44

It has been 2 weeks since I picked up the car after coating. It's been raining a lot here in NY and the rain sheets off just like a waxed car. The car still gathers dust and dirt, so whenever weather gets better its due for a wash. The shop did a good job with paint correction. Took the shop 3 days to correct the paint, install ppf and apply the coating. The surface of the vehicle is very smooth, just like a newly painted car.

Most likely, with my future cars, I'll probably ppf the whole vehicle and then maybe ceramic coat the car. But ppf first!
