I thought I want to share this pictures. I visited the dealership a couple days ago. They only have one, and still in wrap.
I originally test drove the SHSHAWD in San Francisco in early 2014, way before anyone on this board had test driven it. I still haven't bought it yet, even though some of you like Dr. Bob has moved on.
Probably in the next couple of years. I just leased two Hondas this year, so I have time.

I happen to like the redesign and if in the market would choose the Hybrid. I test drove one in 2014 but with limited numbers back then decided to pass. The 18 mix is expected to be 40% Hybrid so more will be available for the first time with this model year.

Do you have an opinion on the Majestic Black Pearl? I am curious as to what it looks like, other than black, since there is a $400 up-charge for it. The word majestic makes me think that there will be red or purple glitter in the paint.

The car was dirty due to a recent rain that day, plus it's still under wraps, with the sun shining on it from the back if I see it from the front 1/4 view. To be honest, IRL, it's the opposite of what I expected from looking at the pictures online.
I thought that I would hate the front and love the rear, but as my pictures shown, actually, I like the front better IRL than the rear. The rear looks so generic/Accord, Hyundai, Infiniti, etc.
The front has presence or sense of occasion.

I think the color black masks the disconnected chin look of the front. Perhaps the lack of LED fog lights for the P-AWS helped too.

I was chasing this car at Monterey Car Week last August, but when I got there on Sunday, they've already packed it (the red SH SH-AWD) into a truck. I asked.

One thing for sure, even just using my phone camera, I think I took better pictures than Acura PR. J/K..

No, they showed up with a bunch of P-AWS and SH SH-AWD in normal production color cars

The one I drove was black. From the discussion in the past several years, it sounds like the one I test drove was a pre-prod, as the brakes are rather grabby at the end of its travel.

I haven't test driven the prod version since then. Mostly because dealers just don't stock them.

Even for this 2018 model, I was told by the sales manager that they'd rather I tell them what I want first before they carry the stocks and risk them sitting un-sold for a long time.
