Upgrading from 2020 RDX to 2022 MDX A-SPEC
Thought before I jump up to the MDX I'll provide my experience with the RDX line. I upgraded from the 2019 to the 2020 RDX because of the redesign. Main reason for switching, my Thule cargo box kept getting hit by the hatch. 2020's RDX you can manually control the height of the hatch door.

Bye bye 2019 Acura RDX Elite and hello 2020 Acura RDX A-SPEC
2020 RDX A-SPEC with Thule Motion XT L cargo box
2020 RDX A-SPEC with WELLvisors installed
Fresh and clean with WELLvisors + Thule Motion XT L cargo box
2020 RDX A-SPEC
Great Feedback: looks, engine power and feel of the vehicle. Heated steering wheel was amazing. Unfortunately the ride comfort went down as the dampeners changed from the 2019 RDX Elite. Trunk space worked very well, including the compartment spacing.
Disappointments: front brake squeaks since DAY 1 to now, even after 2 fix tries. They say that Acura provided the incorrect OEM brake system and it's not an easy fix. Imagine getting a new vehicle and brakes squeal everyday as you slow down at a red or stop sign. Embarrassing. Also 6 months in, sunroof engine broke. At first no android connectivity. They updated this but it's not wireless and my wire connection seems to work only when it wants to. Lastly, had my hatch window broken after the Superbowl game last year. It took 1 month to get a replacement.
Modifications: Acura's ceramic coating (my new one I'd opting to bring it to a professional even after Acura offered to reduce the price to cost nearly 50% below their posted price). Thule Motion XT roof rack. WELLvisors. It's all I added though I wanted to add more. Didn't have running boards. Body skirts weren't able to apply on the A-SPEC.
A few reasons I'm switching to the MDX: android wireless connectivity. +6 seats as post pandemic I foresee more roadtrips versus international trips. The test drive, the size didn't feel much of a difference. I tried the 2021 RDX and wasn't happy with the feel.
Overall, besides the brake issue, I loved the 2020 RDX A-SPEC. GLTA

Hmm, wasn't the 3G RDX introduced for the 2019 model year? Maybe Canada was a year behind, but even then, why get the 2G in 2019 instead of waiting a bit for the 3G?
Seems like quite a hit on the wallet upgrading every 1-2 years The 3G Elite also has the adaptive dampers, which likely would've been a better match for the 2G Elite's ride quality vs. the 3G Aspec.
