Just a guess, but it could be a small rock stuck between the rotor and the backing plate.
They can make a huge amount of noise. Here's an example in this video.
Maybe try taking a screw driver and see if you can push on the backing plate behind the rotor gently. Maybe something will fall out.

Like the others have said, it's a rock in between the brake discs and disc cover. Happened in my MDX one time and scared the absolute shit out of me.

Hard to see in the video, but I am barely rocking the tire back and forth.

A rock stuck somewhere in the wheel area does seem like a valid possibility.....so crazy.

That's what I would do. You can probably push on the bottom of the dust shield with a screw driver and the rock would fall out.

based on his past post, doesn't seem like he is trolling but ya, taking off the wheel to inspect is probably the quickest and easiest thing to do. You got all the tools right in the car to do that.

The tool most of us don't have in the car is jack stands. Some of us may not even have those in our garage.

Bad things happen when people start yanking on hubs with wheels off the car, especially if the car is supported only by a jack. Bad things happen when people start yanking on damn near anything when the car is supported only by a jack.

Or let a shop with a lift handle it.

Having said that, I have freed lots of rocks from the gap between the rotor and splash shield ( backing plate ), and I've never had to pull a wheel to do it.

It just takes a decent sized screwdriver and a few firm thrusts. YMMV

This video saved me 3hrs of my life going to the dealer.

It was exactly this - a tiny pebble suck in between the dust guard and the rotor. Pushed on it in a few places and a tiny stone fell out.

So crazy to think that tiny stone could make such a loud awful noise. I thought my suspension was failing

Wow really, /sarcasm. You do realize you weren't rotating that wheel/tire in your video right? That's the only way you can sell the pebble was stuck in the dust shield story. You trying to rock you tire back and forth like your waking up a 6 year old will not produce that sound, ever. The amount of noise in your video that you claim came from the RDX does not match up to "barely moving" the tire back and forth period. You know it and I know it. But hey, I'm happy to hear you solved your issue, LOL.

I stand by what I said. Your video is fake. You cannot produce that amount of noise from the minimal movement you attempted. Period. Action and reaction. BTW, in your video you attempting to move your wheel and tire the way you did is how you can test ball joints, hubs or even tie rods only it takes considerable more pressure than what you used. You need need to have the weight of the car off of those components to test them by hand. the full weight of your RDX was on that tire and wheel. It didn't budge in your video. To produce long scraping sound would have taken rotating the tire and wheel while the RDX was on jack stands and actually having a pebble stuck between the rotor and dust shield.

This happens all the time . Another poor guy post a laundry list of issue and was immediately met with skeptism and labeled as a troll.

He didn't give up and continues with videos and follow ups. The real troll disappeared.

The initial post was not very clear, the immediate mention that the vehicle "is a joke" and the video showed very little pointing to the issue is what create the doubt.

I am glad the OP was able to address the issue and all is well.
