Seat Height?

I've searched and can't find this spec. I'm talking ground to seat. One of the reasons I'm considering an SUV is simply the ease of getting in and out of it. My low sedan seats and hip arthritis are not getting along. Thanks.

Car and Driver typically measures seat height when they do a full review. I'd start there. But keep in mind that other factors affect ease of entry. The previous gen XC60 has a reasonable seat height, but the sill depth made it a challenge for my petite wife to get into without dragging her pants on the rocker panel. A deal-breaker for her.

HotRod brings up a good point, there is more to it than just the height measurment. I would drive down to the dealer and try sitting in one in the showroom and seeing what it's like.

I am 6ft, with a bad knees. I find that I step into and across the RDX, almost like a sports car. The distance from the seat edge and the lateral edge of the car frame is significant. So I have to put my first foot in/out wide with every entry and exit. Stepping out of the car takes some balance. I’m 45, so it not a bother. But, if I had a bad hip, I would really look into it.

I drive my parents/in-laws, and they find the back seats easier to exit than the front.

My GLC seats are lower to the ground, and closer to the lateral edge of the door frame. Making it a much easier task to get in and out of for comparison.

Anybody got a number? My daughter's CRV was a good height for me, and I've tested the RDX twice. At this point, I'm just curious.
