RDX Hood play movement

Took my RDX in for the rough shifting issue, break squeal, and hood movement.

Service tech mentioned that my shifting issue was resolved after applying an update, break squeal was mentioned to be a normal thing seen with this vehicle no fix was applied.

One thing he did mention was that there was documentation about the hood having some movement at speeds above 60mph and that it is a documented issue that acura may fix at sometime.

Not sure if anyone else has these problems but want to make sure you guys bring these up so it gets fixed sooner if you are experiencing any of these issues.

It the tranny noticeably smoother? I’d be willing to do a software update to ours, but not much interested in the clutch break-in procedure where they mechanically wear the parts to be smoother shifting...

What What and What???

Thread title identifies nothing in thread.

Softwear update mechanically wears the clutch packs in transmission???

That is a horrible idea!

You’re right, way off track from the thread title. Hood movement....meh.....You got a software update to fix a tranny problem from another thread that has multiple pages?!?! Say whaaat? Tell me more!

Let me clarify...the rough 1-2-3 shifting problem has seen multiple fixes mentioned on another thread.. One of those is the clutch break-in procedure, which sounds like mechanical wearing in of parts to get them to mesh well. I don’t like that idea. OP here mentions a simple software fix available (presumably changes sequence timing of movements inside the transmission, but who knows). I’m interested in how that worked out...
