Talking Purchased RDX over weekend, take delivery Friday

Anything I should check on or make sure they do before I take ownership? Have there been any recalls that I need to make sure they do beforehand?

Modern steel, AWD, Tech Pkg!

Check tire pressures - many dealers leave them over-inflated as they leave the factory that way.

No recalls - at least none that show for mine.

Make sure they perform a full check (lights, wipers etc) for functionality for you. Mine had non-functioning brake lights that I only found out about because someone honked at me while I was driving and told me about it.

When you pick up the car make sure they haven't put a sticker on the paint with their logo on it (aka a dealer tag). If they have, make sure they take it off this way they're responsible for any damages. Also make sure they don't put on on the plate.

Congratulations and enjoy the car!

Check all of the panel fitments, hood to fender gaps, bumper to fender gaps, rear hatch movement and listen for odd sounds as it opens and closes.

Congrats on your purchase!

Bring a wingman who will help you say NO to all the stuff the finance guy sincerely thinks you need to buy.

Check both remotes.

Got it.... everything went smooth for the most part. No problems that I could notice besides little scuff marks. While I was driving home I noticed that the brakes are very very soft. Almost thought they were not going to stop a few times I had to really press them. Is this normal? Maybe since car is pretty new they need to get broken in?

The brakes are different from the more typical Honda grabby brakes. They are more like BMW brakes. More linear and as you press harder, they stop better. Do let the brakes bed-in for a couple of hundred miles, so no very hard stopping, and if they are hot, no heavy pressure so that the pads don’t transfer an uneven amount of material to the disks.

Looks really nice.
I'm glad there are at least 3 of us who got the Tech instead of Advance or A-Spec. I was feeling very much alone.
