Far too much it feels like.
See what they will do if you ORDER one spec'ed out exactly as you want. They have 2020s "ordered" for stock that haven't been built yet so they can easily "pull" an order, reconfigure it to your specs and re-insert it in line. I did this on my wife's 2014 MDX when they couldn't find the combination colors/packages she wanted. Sold it to us at invoice less incentives, etc and she took delivery 3 weeks later. Did the same thing years prior on my ex wife's Ford Explorer.

They should be far more flexible on price with a vehicle they don't even have yet and have one sold before they even get it.

To be fair these were large dealers with multiple locations but I'd think the process is the same.

good deal in NJ?

ADVANCED RDX out the door price $48450 in NJ, all inclusive, tax registration and dealer fees included, 3 accessories included, all weather mats, trunk rubber folding mat and mud guards. no financing, cash deal. Did not qualify for any Acura rebates, could have financed to get $750 off the price through Acura financing but rate was 4.2 so I preferred getting 1.99 rate from my local credit union and pay cash for the car... financed 36 months independently

Shopped around 15 dealers in the area on internet, narrowed price to 3 best deals and had them fight over my business, finally got 48500 from one dealer but his high pressure sales tactics turned me off, walked out of the dealership, on the way home approached the dealer closest to my house that said no already to match the price via internet sales department, walked into the dealership, asked for general sales manager which was available, I showed him the quote from the high sales pressure dealership and he beat their price by $50 out the door, so total 48450.00 all inclusive.

4 vehicles to choose from, will make the choice tomorrow and put in the deposit, because he beat the lowest offer by only $50 I think there is not much more room to go down and the 1 month search was truly exhausting.

I drove to another dealership tonight after this deal was put in writing to see if they could beat it, they said at that price they would be $2200 in the red so no way.

Good dealership feeling, got the price to this level in 15 minutes, no pressure to buy immediately, planning to close the deal by the end of the week,

I hope this is a good deal, had to buy the vehicle, my 2003 Accord with 250K miles on it got hit by a deer last week going 75 mph on major highway, extensive damage, drive-able but won't pass inspection without 1K in repairs, and 5K in repairs to do it right, not worth it, I hope I will drive my acura that long
Opted out against CRV due to engine oil gas dilution issue, or I would of got CRV, too scared of headaches and potential problems, Acura, here I come to luxury segment

I can't comment on your deal, since all the comparable details were left out. I will, however, comment on the deer that apparently roam NJ. How do you know how fast it was going? That said, the fastest cheetah was recorded at only 61 mph. Are all your dear this fast?

Taxes are 6.25% in NJ, and registration was $120 for me, but mine was transfer for plates.

My used RDX 2019 advance black on black with 12k miles was 45k OTD in NJ, so this guy did well. My car did have the running boards, all weather mats, cargo mat, and remote start installed though. These options alone would've been an extra $1600 to the MSRP.

We may never know. He showed OTD price. Way to many possible variables to actually determine that.

Was there a trade? It could have a huge impact on OTD price. Not to mention any dealer profit add-ons like nitrogen, wheel protection package, etc...

We were told we do not qualify for conquest as we have a BMW 760 and a Volvo XC90? Is this fair for a 2020 RDX Tech?

As an aside, my bmw dealer offered us a new 2019 X3 $48,995 msrp for $38,850+ tax. Driveout $41,850. Less than RDX even though BMW X3 is $7000 higher msrp. This X3 would be a great deal.

But unfortunately vehicle is for teenage son and my wife refuses to let me buy him a BMW for his first car.

so, I feel like deal on RDX is not terrific but not sure I can do much better on a 2020 RDX. Anybody buying a 2020 now?
Your wife is 100% correct and I am shocked that you would even consider a BMW for a teenager as well as an RDX for that matter. Your money but this is just crazy!

I leased a white A-Spec RDX SH-AWD with 7500 miles per year (in addition to 15k rolled over from prior lease) with $6900 down and 420/mo x 35 mo. Got it in May. They threw in black chrome emblems for this price. I’m a Maryland resident so you have to pay sales tax on the full purchase price of the vehicle, which was included in the 6900 down.

I am in San Diego. I want to buy a base model 2020 RDX in either white/parchment, red/parchment, or blue/parchment/grey. They are asking $38,500 around here for this model. It's been a long time since I bought a car. What would be a good deal on one of these cars? What should I be aiming to pay?

Bought a 2019 Advance SH-AWD about a week ago (~$48,500 msrp). Paid $43,500 less $1,000 (conquest cash). The car also had winter mats, door edge guards (non OEM), and splash guards included in that price. This car may have been a demo (they said it was the GMs car), it was new condition (cosmetic, mechanical, and warranty started the day I bought it) with less than 1,000 miles on the odometer. I think the dealer also got $750 back in finance money. Rate was mid 3%s for 60 months. Taxes, title, etc. were on top of this.

They offered a non-demo new one for $1,000 more (plus the accessories, if desired) which I would have done, but they didn't have any of my preferred colors anyway. 2019 Advance AWDs seem to be in very short supply - when I called around to other dealers that had stock listed, most didn't actually have the cars. The ones that did we're quoting about $1,500 above the new (non-demo) price.

The vehicle I got is a 4 wheel drive, no trade in of any kind, no nitrogen fill no wheel protection package, no gap insurance. 48450 out the door, I walked into dealership right before closing with low traffic, asked for manager and put him on the spot to beat best price which he did, I specifically told him that I don't want games of any kind, told him exactly what I wanted, 3 accessories and car cash out the door. the only issue the delivery driver spilled few drops of coffee on the middle console, took me a while to clean that up but looks like new, no other issues with the car so far, I do like the 3 accessories, splash guards feel not to overpowering and will protect from stones, the all weather rubber mats are good quality, drivers side does not go all the way to the gas pedal so no protection there (this is usually done for safety reasons, as clumsy high heals women feet got caught on the mats when trying to brake and caused accident, manufacturers of mats was sued so OEM doesn't protect there), the back mat is ok, I would hope it goes to the sides a little but it is sturdy and folds in half to access compartment below.

The auto idle stop was not working because stupid service guy disabled it with the hood, there is a procedure to reset it, which I did myself and it works flawlessly now, it is unfortunate that even OEM service is not up to par but it is what it is.

so $48450 out the door, financed through my local credit union at 1.99 APY over 3 years with 5K down, I will enjoy these $1300 a month car payments for sure

Hi,

I am thinking about making an offer for a 2019 RDX A-Spec SH-AWD. MSRP is about $46,600. In Socal here, so the taxes & license should be around 10.5%. Would an offer of $42K OTD be a long shot?

Thanks,
TT

Yes, because you're asking them for $9,500 off, if I read you right. Good luck with that.

This is still useless to any of us, especially people outside of your local area. You need to break everything down to make it comparable to the rest of the country.

First post, so I am not sure if any of you will take me seriously, but we just negotiated my wife's 2019 RDX Advanced non-SH for the price of $41,475 before tax, tag, title or any docs and no trade-in. Grand total came out to $45,319 at 7% tax, $699 doc fees and $250 registration transfer. Just trying to get some data points out there for y'all.

Great deal! I was wondering why not just spring for SH-AWD? It really changes the driving experience.

Fair question, but this one is going to be a family hauling city and highway cruiser. If I were driving it, (as opposed to her) I would have surely picked the SH. But this was too good of a deal to pass up.

I mean, you got an amazing deal. Far better than what I got on my CPO sh-awd advance. I'm trying to garage it as much as possible to keep the miles low lol.

That doc fee lol...and even registration title fee! Is it normally that high for title and registration?

In NJ, title costs like $95 and registration transfer is only $4. New registration costs like $200.

Is this a FWD or AWD? Also what the tax rate for your location?

FWD / Apex blue. We got some tax credits that the dealership claims they only can offer to very few customers each month. So the tax rate ended up being under 2%, but normally I think it's 8.25%.

it's so annoying that admins/mods here don't let us edit our posts.

Hi all, been reading some of deals mentioned and it confirms that I need to keep shopping around. Was quoted as follows for a 2020 blue a-spec fwd....no trade or fees, purchase only. This is about$1500 or so below msrp...which the sales guy said “wasn’t likely” as they most at msrp.
Vehicle sale price:$43,655.53 + $799.99 protection package this is on the vehicle (weahter-tech mats, splash guards, wheel locks and cargo tray)

Can I ask? Fountain Acura or AutoNation in Sanford?

I'm going to try and get some online quotes but it seems they want you to come it make sure you are "serious"...saw somebody mentioned one of the dealers in Jacksonville was competitive and they had had good experience but that's quite a hike.

9% off MSRP on a 2020? Amazing. That would be a good deal for a 2019 (that's essentially what I got on mine), let alone a 2020.

Got a second quote for a 2020 a-spec fwd....msrp.....I requested 9% off msrp and said I buy tomorrow. Think Shennan88 deal might not be possible in in FL anywhere nearby. Fingers crossed.
