Still the same...picking up my new RDX SH-AWD TECH from Acura of Greensboro. I price shopped Hendrick Acura in Durham, Autopark Acura in Cary, Acura of Greensboro, Pohanka in VA and Apple Tree in Asheville. I probably could have saved money with Pohanka, but something seemed off when they wouldn't supply me with any detail except OTD price and told me to "trust their process." Autopark and Hendrick were more focused on making me come in so they could hard sell me and neither actually had the car I wanted on the lot or in transit. Apple Tree was great, but they couldn't/wouldn't match or beat the Greensboro deal. First Acura and I decided to go with the RDX over the Passport....especially since we already have a Pilot.

Hi there,
Please help me to evaluate lease deal- how low\high it is- it my first Acura and 3-rd lease and I am not a guru in negotiating.
RDX SH-AWD Advanced pckg
MSRP: 48395.00
Sale price: 42458.81
Annual Mileage:7500
Money Factor: .0020
Residual: 59%
Cash upfront: $2000(all taxes\fees included)
Monthly payment: $568
Region: NY/NJ/PA/CT
No Incentives/Rebates as far as know

As Costco member I was shown their sheet- for Advanced pckg it was -$3170, but since my sale price was already lower, it was passed by.
Thank you.

chappyja, I'm planning to purchase in May and will be looking at pretty much the same dealers (checking out Flow in Wilmington as well). What was the price difference you found between Hendrick, Greensboro and Leith if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks..

I was getting out the door at about $39k in the DFW without pushing hard. I changed to advance and got out the door at $43.5k before trade.

Ok, now that I actually have it in my garage, I can enumerate on the pricing....AND would highly recommend Acura of Greensboro! I'll try to keep the number clean to compare and I'm not going to troll for whether or not I got a good deal or not cuz at this point, I don't wanna know LOL

2019 Performance Pearl Red RDX w/SH-AWD and Tech
MSRP - $43,995 - I paid $40,995 ($3k discount)
Add-ons installed by them:
Hitch - $503
Roof Rails - $673
Fog Light Kit - $788
Body side molding - $289
Mud Guards - $100
All Weather Mats - $0

Total with added accessories $43,349
NC Tax - $1317
License fee - $36
Title fee - $52
Loyalty discount since we own a 2014 Pilot - -$1000
Total delivered price - $44,333 OTD

They also matched the online "wholesale" parts prices to get me the wheel locks, cargo protection kit, roof cross bars, rear seat cover and cargo mat, but that stuff was not installed by them nor included in the pricing above.

Hendrick Acura of Southpoint wasn't even in the ballpark - like THOUSANDS more. Apple Tree in Asheville wasn't able to work a deal (still liked them). Leith in Cary supplied me with the e-price, but then anything else they wanted me to come into the dealership to talk (hard sell). Acura of Greensboro was terrific. AJ and Brett were very communicative and kept me informed all the way. I hopped the Amtrack from Cary to GB y'day morning for $20 and Brett picked me up at the station. No hidden fees or surprises and no hard selling anything. Highly recommended dealership in NC...

MS3RP: $46,995
Paid: $42,895
Additional $1500 off for loyalty and college grad incentive

hi there,
firs ttime on acurazine as i'm a new owner of 2019 acura aspec in Markham, Ontario Canada.I was able to get the car for ~$800 above dealer cost with all in cost of $55,000.01. based on unhaggled dealer report, that is around 1.75% above dealer cost. to me a good deal...but who knows if cash incentives will be higher in april to Aug (probably).

this is for aspec with pearl paint:
MSRP was <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->$58,861.75
= cost <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->$50,790.00 (8.95% dealer profit over dealer cost of <!--td {border: 1px solid #ccc;}br {mso-data-placement:same-cell;}-->$46,617.00)
+ fees $2185
+ HST (13% in ontario)
- 1000$ (cash incentive after tax)

My 07 RDX with 228,000 that I had since mile 3 had major mechanical failures this week. I was hoping to wait for the 2020. I got a real deal on a 2019 Advance SH-AWD Fathom Blue Pearl. Drove it home today. $43,199 + all season mats. I did qualify for Acura loyalty incentives and since my wife is finishing her Masters in a month we also got a 500 incentive. We purchased a Honda Ridgeline from the same dealer group 9 months ago so maybe that helped us on the deal. It was an internet deal. The dealer said they were loosing 1500 on the deal. I guess I said all the right things in my email response to the sales person. It was the easiest car purchase transaction of my life. I was very straight up and transparent and so were they!

My 08 RDX is 182K miles. I am still holding out for 2020. Have not had any repairs in past 4 years (knock on wood).

Thank you chappyja for the information . I am also located in Cary NC and shopping for new Acura RDX Tech Package AWD. I completely agree with you that Crown Acura of Greensboro seems to be giving the best deal around the Raleigh Area. I am still working on the numbers with them. They are offering 4200$ discount on the MSRP along with Loyalty Discount (For Honda Vehicle). I am trying to see if they reduce any further else would make the deal this weekend. Might definitely be worth the drive from Cary to Greensboro.

2019 Acura RDX A Spec

MSRP says 45,595, Got them down to $40,453.50 before taxes. After taxes, registration, and tag, I end up paying $42,238. I also got them to throw in free window tinting and the spare tire kit since my A Spec did not have one. Dealership also offers Lifetime Powertrain Warranty from Fidelity. Overall, I think I did pretty good. This was the most expensive car I have purchased in my lifetime so far. Also got a 2.9% interest rate for financing.

Hey idubbz,
Congratulations on your purchase!!!!!
I'm looking to buy one as well and was wondering which dealer you went to. And was it a good experience?
Thought I'd ask a fellow Torontonian before we go anywhere.

Thanks ahead!

I am looking for a RDX advanced. My girl friend will work in Bay area, and she is a new grad student, what is the expected OTD in buying an advanced AWD?
Is it cheaper to buy in dealers in VA, and ship to Bay area?

2019 RDX Pricing Help - TN

Working with an Acura dealer for the first time, here is the details I got in TN.

Fwd Base - $38,295
Fwd Tech - $41,495
Fwd A-Spec - $44,495
Fwd Advance - $46,395

Dealer is saying that they can take $1,500 off, no extended warranty or other throw ins in their first offer.
Looking at the Fwd Tech, so $41,495 - $1,500 = $39,995 + 7% TN Taxes + dealer, doc and misc fees end up just over $43K OTT.

Very little pressure from the dealer, said they don't work off commission, etc and seemed to be a good experience during the test drive.

Curious on your thoughts of the deal, can I get more?

I also have a question on the remote start? Is this a dealer add on only? What was the estimated cost or did you get this "thrown in" with the deal?

Thanks for any help or advice.

Jason

Trying to find out what a reasonable price would be on an AWD w/Tech. With destination the car is $43,995. As a current Acura owner, I am told there is a $1,000 incentive. I have also been told there is an additional incentive (not sure if it is a lease or buy incentive but I can do either one to get the best price).

The above incentives aside, what kind of discount can I actually expect above and beyond these incentives. 8% off of sticker would get me to $40,475 and if I add in the other incentives above the price would come down to $37,100. At this price, lease or buy, it would be a good deal. Trying to find out if this is reasonable, too low or too high.

Thanks,

I was able to get $4,000 off (including the loyalty incentive) MSRP, so, without the incentive, it would have been ~7% off, with the incentive it was just over 9% off. I did get additional money off of accessories and installation, but that just complicates the numbers you are looking for. This is NC and I haven't even had my 19 RDX w/tech AWD for a month yet. Hope that helps.

Thanks,
I was able to get about $3,500 (~8%) off my RDX with Tech. So realistically, you should be looking at around 39-40k$. I don't think you'll be able to get it down to $37k at this time as the RDX is still selling very well and the demand is still high. If you're aiming for the $37k mark, I'd wait a little a longer and even then I'm not entirely sure you can get it. It also depends where you are.

Was quoted around $3500 off MSRP on advanced awd. I was good with that but then there was a $699 “Dir Admin fee” at the very bottom of the quote he provided. I asked them to remove this fee. They came off about $200 which left a $500 divide. We decided to not take it. Is that type of fee BS?

Unless your state or country is special. then yeah that fee is BS. The only dealer non-negotiable fee that I had was a documentation fee of $85. When I was negotiating with my first dealer, they insisted on $800 in "mandatory" accessories and protections like VIN etching. After I walked away that day and got some comparable offers from other dealers, they eventually agreed to take off the $800.

Is it possible to get $3500 of MSRP before any incentive in NY? What dealerships are good?

Did you visit the dealer I told you about?

Picked up a RDX Tech in Modern Steel car Friday night in the Boston suburbs. I'm taking over my wife's 2011 MDX so we have 2 Acura's in the driveway again. She was sold on the ASPEC looks but hated the seats and red dials so told her I can easily black out chrome with vinyl.

List price w/ destination: $43,595
Dealer discount: -$4,600
Acura Loyalty Offer -$1,000
Trade in: $18,000 (Bought the car 2 years ago for 18k so win-win here)
Taxes: $1249
Fees/registration: $ #s
OTD $21k

She loves it.

I bought from Greensboro and while they gave me the BEST price, they really don't stand behind after sale issues. I was thrown back and forth between Greensboro Acura and Acura Customer Service and finally I ended with Hendrick Acura of Southpoint. Acura Customer service couldn't help either but I talked to Hendrick and they were ready to help me with issue. If there is minor price difference, I strongly suggest you go with Hendrick.

I plan to use Hendrick for maintenance and so far I don’t have any post sale issues. Unfortunately Hendrick was way off on pricing compared to Greensboro and wasn’t even getting what I wanted for over a month. Their facility is very nice though... what issues are you having?

We're looking for an RDX in the Boston area. Would you mind which dealership you got your car from?

Just purchased an Advanced AWD last week from Greensboro Acura & am very pleased. They were about $1k less than Hendrick in Charlotte & our experience was so much better at Greensboro Acura. Hendrick had a couple of ridulous add-ones & a $799 “administration fee” which leads to disingenuous negotiations right off the bat. Personally I would highly recommend Greensboro over Hendrick in Charlotte. If you are in the area, try both places & decide for yourself. The Greensboro people were much more pleasant & helpful.

Hey folks, doesn’t look like Acura changed anything with leases to start this month. I am just going off those deals they list on their website. Was hoping for a better money factor. Maybe they have given out an increase in incentives. Let me know if you hear anything.
