Anyone in MD have recent numbers they could share? I've been to my two local dealers - one is a Priority 1 dealer and they basically say pound sand. The other is a privately owned dealership who is a bit more willing to haggle but still not to the level some are posting here. For example, today's offer for a 19 RDX FWD ASPEC was:
$44,499 MSRP (including $995 destination charge)
$2,499 Discount
$42,000 selling price
I countered with $41,000 and they said no. I ended up walking out of the dealership and will play the waiting game. As others in this thread have mentioned, end of November and December are historically good months to get deals. Guess I will have to wait and see.

If you want to get 10K for your trade in, and pay 39K for new car, you can tell them that you are willing to pay net debit of 29K for this transaction. Let them play with numbers. The only thing that will impact you is the tax, if they put small dollar amount on your trade in, you will pay more in sales tax... but that's insignificant.

I live in MD, and just bought my A-Spec AWD RDX last weekend from Pohanka down in Chantilly VA with a sales price of ~$42k. That quote you got for $44k out the door for a RDX AWD is insanely good. Take away MD taxes you're looking at a price of ~$41500, which includes the dealers taxes and fees. Which means your sales price is somewhere under $40k, and nearly 15% under MSRP.

OK..so, when and IF that happens....show us the P.O. that shows $4K off the MSRP from the dealer...NOT Acura money...there is a difference. You can black out names, etc...deal??
I owned (3) Gen 2's....and have a great business relationship with my GM...and NEVER came close to $4K off MSRP....and no else did either. I just know that! LOL! How, because I didn't get it!!!
Proof will make me say..."I was wrong."....but, something tells me you will owe me a case of beer. Heineken please! LOL!!

Dealer in SC is offering $40,550 OTD for Tech FWD.
SC has a max tax of $500. Tag and Title are $55.00
idk I don’t think this is the best deal when folks are getting 10% of MSRP. SC doesn’t have much competition though.
This is just for Tech no accessories fwd. North Carolina dealer offered OTD of 42,500 on same vehicle lol. SC and NC prices aren’t that good. I’m probably going to wait unless someone thinks this is a good deal - 40,500 with just Tech fwd :/

Chicagoland deal
Can you tell me what dealer you used in Chicagoland? I am located in the burbs so I would like to make a deal here if they are willing to deal. If not, road trip!

My mother picked up an Advance SH-AWD for $44,500 (including 1k loyalty) before taxes and fees. Probably could have gotten a bit more off but she was satisfied with the overall experience. This was at Open Road Acura in East Brunswick, NJ.

Thanks for the confirmation - based on what I had read on here and doing some research $44K out the door was the goal and it was nice to achieve it. I picked up my Apex Blue on Black RDX yesterday - awesome car. The oil dilution issues on the CR-V and I noticed a few guys on here mentioned it on their RDX... has me a bit concerned but I will keep an eye on it.

Thanks! I got a quote from two dealership with same price in NYC for Tech AWD. $40,000 plus Conquest Discount $1,000. I asked for 39,000 plus Conquest Discount $1,000 but both said no. Probably $40k is the best deal for Tech AWD in NYC.

I just worked a deal for $45,250 OTD at Pohanka for A-Spec SH-AWD white on black. Hunt Valley not budging from their offer of $47K and some change OTD. I have an 05 TL so don't get the loyalty. I don't think I'll get lower so I likely will get today. I'll post up dates.

Do you guys think 38k for OTD for a FWD + Tech is doable. (No accessories)
Im basically going to ask the dealer for 10% off MSRP which is 41495. = $37,345.50
+BS Fees: $499
+Tax, Tag and Title in my state: $555.00
Total:$38,399.50
Was gonna offer $38,500 - don’t really care if I get laughed at but it’s inline with russianDude’s theory of 10% off MSRP.
With not many posters posting Just FWD + Tech and people getting AWD + Tech at 40500-41000 OTD.
Dealership current offer here in Charleston, SC is $40,549 for fwd + Tech OTD.
am I way off and looking to get laughed at?

It might be regional too, check out sales stats on truecar.com to see if there are any data points suggesting its near 10%.
Also, if you ready to jump the gun, be upfront and say that you are ready to make a deal right now and dont want to waste anyone time. If not, walk away and expect a phone call later
good luck, and let us know how you make out.

Add destination charge before you take off 10% from msrp.

I got $3K off MSRP in Princeton NJ for my RDX Tech. Then I actually had an issue with the car... Bad bearing in the rear differential. You could a rotating sound when decelerating. (200 miles in BTW) They ended up replacing the rear differential. I told them I was pretty upset about this issue and they gave me $1K in free accessories. So I ended up getting mats, splash guard, and WELCOME LIGHTS. They look sick at night. In love with this car!

Depends on where you at (taxes and dealers) and whether you own a car that would qualify for loyalty credit. In some places, dealers won't deal. Other places, there are reports of $4K-$5K off MSRP. Search the thread for your location you might find some useful info.

Okay, so I got an A-Spec SH-AWD white on black for $45,250 OTD. All the haggling was done over the phone via calls or text. I got it from Pohanka in VA. I am in Maryland. The dealer near me (Hunt Valley) wouldn't budge from $47,416.68 and seemed very incredulous about the offer from Pohanka, like they did not believe me. I have an 05 TL so I did couldn't get the loyalty which would have taken me down to $44,250 OTD. I did get the maintenance package which covers all routine maintenance for 4 years or 48,000 miles which was an added cost to the OTD price. Apparently it's 60% cheaper up front rather than spending point of service and should be honored nationwide. I am not sure if I feel duped about it yet but I can cancel at anytime based on the contract (especially if dealer near me gives me a hard time to honor it).
So far it's leaps and bounds better than my ride. It feels upscale. Ride quality is very good. The technology on this vehicle is impressive. I do here some minor intermittent rattles coming from the dash. So far it's not bothersome.
