Picked up my new RDX FWD Tech Package in Gunmetal/Ebony yesterday. MSRP was $41,495 and sticker was $42,062 (Protection Package). I got it for $39.838 + TTL. I did quite a bit of negotiating between dealerships via email for about a week and just decided to go in because it seemed like a few weren't taking me too seriously. This were with no incentives except military; just kind of pegged them against each other until I got a price I was happy with. Part of me kind of feels bad, but in the end I think I got a pretty good deal and I love that new car smell.

That's a great price! Is it allowed to say the dealer name here? I am also in DFW area.

regarding Seattle market, they used to say MSRP+$1,500 dealer package a week ago, now saying they could sell below MSRP, not sure the exact price point yet.

Got $2700 off of a A-SPEC Blue Apex Pearl RDX (includes the 1000 loyalty) on 08/18 so I'm happy. Only problem now is that it's currently in service because the brake lights aren't working......

Can those posting price paid indicate what Acura manufacturer discounts are included e.g. Loyalty 1000, military ...

A 3K discount is great. But only average if that includes 1000 loyalty.

Just like what Marineone reported in his experience, my dealer gave me 3K discount with no string attached. I'm not sure what's included, but I don't qualify for either loyalty nor conquest discount.
Also, from earlier posts regarding dealer cost/invoice price, there seems to be only 2K room for negotiation. But if a dealer could give 3K discount, there must be a way to make money.

The term invoice is misleading, because the true dealer cost is less than the invoice price. Acura has a 2% dealer holdback, which reduces the cost to the dealer. There are also other discounts/promotions dealers can get. Plus, they can make a ton of money selling extended warranties, paint/rust/interior protection add ons, etc.

yes....and also with the trade in end of the deal.
These posts are great for those of us trying to get a feel for the market, but unless people indicate accessories, add ons, and especially trade in or not, etc, it is difficult to judge how good the deals actually are

The key word to remember that I use in my posts is PUBLISHED invoice. True dealer cost is much lower given hidden factory-to-dealer incentives etc. I am happy with the deal I received on a "clean sheet" design and hot selling vehicle.

Per Jerry Reynolds...
For some reason, I have a lot of people recently asking where they can get the dealer invoice price on a particular vehicle. This is a tough question, I've not found any online source that I would trust to be accurate. Moreover, what a business pays for the product they sell is nobody's business. Considering my radio show, website, Facebook page etc., I may easily talk to more potential auto buyers than anyone in the country. For those who do not know, before the Car Pro Radio Show was created in 2001, I was in the retail automobile business for over 3 decades. I have to admit, when I get the question on what dealerships pay for cars, it irritates me a little. I consider myself a consumer advocate in every way. I do my best to help people make good car buying decisions. When it comes to dealer cost on a car, as I mentioned earlier, I frankly don't think that is anybody's business. Would you ask a clerk at Walmart what they paid for that 60" HD TV you want to purchase? Would you ask a homebuilder how much it cost to build that dream home you want to buy? I don't think so. The bottom line is that as a consumer, you should be more interested in the best price you can get, without regard to what a dealer paid for a car. Profit is not a dirty word and car dealers have a huge investment in their business, and like everyone else, they deserve a return on that investment. The next problem for "dealer-cost chasers" is getting accurate information. I've seen some big name websites with the wrong numbers, wrong cost of transportation, and wrong incentive information. This is frustrating for the consumer and the dealership both. Dealers don't open every day to NOT sell cars, but when you are armed with bad info, you leave a dealership in the car you drove in there, mad at the dealer, and not understanding why the dealer didn't accept your offer. Some people choose to go through "buying services" and brokers in those states where it is legal. TrueCar has done a ton of advertising and tout that they "changed car buying forever" and they'll give you "upfront pricing estimates." Not exactly sure how a pricing estimate is going to help you get the best deal, but consider this; according to car dealers I have spoken with, they pay TrueCar on average $300 for every person who buys a car through the TrueCar website. There is nothing illegal or immoral about it, but don't you think the dealers consider that fee when calculating the lowest price they can sell a car for? When I am shopping, whether it be a car, an electronic gadget, computer, or lawnmower, I just want to pay a fair price. I consider the value of my time in the calculations too. Can I afford to drive one hour to save $50 on a purchase? I want to be treated well, respected as a consumer, and get a fair deal. I don't mind paying a profit to any business. I just want a fair deal. The next problem for people wanting dealer cost is; you aren't going to figure it out anyway. You can get close to what factory invoice is on a car, but that's not the same as dealer cost. Even with my experience, I can't know what incentives are being paid to the dealers direct from the factory. Often times, these are based on a dealer's volume and the amounts change the more a dealer sells. Many of the factory-to-dealer bonuses are based on how well people are treated or its customer satisfaction ratings. I am in favor of researching the car you want to buy and doing your homework, but obsessing over what a dealer paid for a car will make you crazy. Dealerships have tremendous overhead, and trust me, you want them to be there after you purchase a car in case you need them.

A lot of words... won’t change the fact that most of the car dealers are slimy.

Same situation in Northern California. Seeing the deals in other regions I was hoping SoCal would be better and I'd just go for a really long pickup trip but seems like all of California is stuck at $500 off MSRP - especially on the AWD ADV which has pretty limited stock here.

So when we picked up wife's 19 RDX Advance AWD we got $850 off MSRP and $1000 loyalty and 20% off accessories. And that from a. Dealer I have bought 8 cars from in 12 years so market is tight.

Yesterday I picked up a Gunmetal Tech, with Ebony interior and SH-AWD from a dealer north of LA; negotiations were with the Sales Manager exclusively via email a tact I decided to stick with as I was looking for this specific color combo and package, I was asking to buy at $2K under MSRP. Since no one had this car on the lot and no one was helping find one, I decided to look at dealer inventory from San Diego to LA in an effort to locate one and then email the various Sales Managers. I had good dialog with a couple managers but unfortunately inventory is almost non-existent for SH-AWDs unless you want the white or a FWD; nevertheless as a former lurker that used all the great info and you all provide, I made a deal that I am extremely happy with and have a very good impression of that dealership. Adding in my final negotiation email that I am Military Retiree secured a price of $1,500 below the $43,495 MSRP and the $750 from Acura Financial on a 2.9 APR loan made a nice bump up to my downpayment, no trade in was included in the sale. Driving the car to San Diego for 2 1/2 hours allowed plenty of time to get familiar with the entertainment system and the adaptive cruise and lane keeping both features destined to get plenty of use during my commute.
Thanks!

you can get more than $500 for sure. Back in July, a couple of dealers in Northern California were willing to do $1,000 off MSRP without hesitation. You should be able to get in the 2k-3k range soon.

Is the $1,000 loyalty incentive only on leases? ...or only available in certain areas of the country? It doesn't show up for me when I look at Acura's Current Offers with my zip code.

I believe $1000 loyalty is lease or purchase. I believe your current Acura has to be within a certain age.

Looks like its area specific. I contacted dealer in North NJ and he specifically mentioned about "Finance Option" and he ask about loyality/conquest option for eligibility. BTW, here is the screenshot mentioning for Financial option as well.

Anyone know about the qualifying details of the "I'm switching to Acura" savings offer? First I've heard of it. Looking to purchase a 2019 Advance or A-Spec (FWD). This car will replace an older Lexus RX. I'll probably wait another couple months to let the price soften up.

They said there was a bad pin connection that disabled all of the brake lights. They took a ton of pictures and sent it to engineering. It was a pretty big deal as they also had people from Acura HQ in the dealership as well. So make sure you check your brake lights if you purchase a 2019 RDX.

Added about another $3,000 in accessories, another $1,100 in title/registration/fees and another $3,200 in tax for an out the door price of $52,100. Was contacted by the dealer the previous Monday through the Costco program. They quoted me a price over the phone, which I was surprised at, but I think it was because I was coming from over an hour away and I said I didn't know if I wanted to drive that far. The price they quoted was remarkable and I even confirmed if it was AWD and a 2019 model and the Advance package, and they said yes. I made an appointment to go check it out on Saturday. I said to my wife before we got there that guaranteed they will quote me a different price today. Sure enough, they did. Instead of being about $3,500 off MSRP, they now quoted about $2,500 off. They claimed the Costco price they quoted on Monday was only good for 72 hours. I don't even know if that's true or not. There was some back and forth with the dealer and his manager, but they knew I was ready to buy if they honored the original price they quoted. They eventually did, but didn't budge on some of the accessories. Overall, a pretty quick deal and I drove it home that day. Have to go back next week for the accessories to be installed. There was no trade in involved, no loyalty rebates involved (my old car is a Subaru), so at the end of the day, I think I got a great deal. Put half down and financed it through the 36 month, 1.9% deal Acura has going. Going to pick up some additional accessories with the 50% off coupon Costco gives you for purchasing the car through the program (although its only good for up to $400 in accessories for a total discount of $200). Should be enough to cover the all season mats, cargo tray and part of the cost of the cargo cover.
Congratulations on your purchase. Gray look Great!! And Price is really good, lowest so far on Advance.
Fortunately, I am also in north NJ and with Costco Program, got pointed to same dealership (DCH Montclair Acura). They quoted me $2766 off MSRP as first offer via email and without any negotiations. I am planning to go there this weekend for test drive and color selection. I am also looking same color or white, depending on availability. Do you mind sharing the salesman name or number who get you this deal? That way it will be much easier. Thanks!!

and some people still don’t want to believe that in late fall you can get it 10% under MSRP... I see that it’s already in 6-7% in some areas

Inventory is increasing, which should lead to lower prices. I checked on Auto Trader, and there are 405 new 2019 RDXs listed within 50 miles of my office in Los Angeles. When I checked in early July, there were less than 100 listed.

We are looking to buy a rdx with the advance package at some point in the near future. We been in contact with a few dealerships around the ATL area regarding price and the lowest we been quoted was about 1395 off msrp with about 850 in fees. We don't qualify for any of the current incentives. Do you think it would be worth holding out till later this year to get a better price? We aren't in a position where we need to purchase asap, so we can wait.

Just bought my RDX Advance on Friday. MSRP was $46,795 plus another $800+ for the following: Mud Guards, Rear Cargo Cover, Rear Cargo Liner, All Weather Mats and Wheel Locks. Invoice, without the dealer installed extras was $44,178. I paid $44,000 even with all off the accessories included at no charge so about $900+ under invoice. Was very happy with the deal as it was the last day of the month and they wanted to sell a car. Just had the front windows ceramic tinted and the front wrapped with Xpel (full hood, front bumper, mirror caps, door handle cups and rear hatch/bumper protector).

We aren't in a position where we need to purchase asap, so we can wait.
Holding off until late December will likely get you good deals. In Atlanta Ed Voyles has a great sales department, but horrible service. Jackson sales is a mixed bag, but has great service department. Nalley has good service, but sales department lacks follow through.

If anyone is in the Houston area or willing to travel to purchase an RDX in the Houston area, contact Conner O'keeke at Autonation Acura Gulf Freeway. He will get you a good deal and tell him Gavin sent you. They do have many different options and colors available so you should be able to get what you want. I am not a representative for them but just trying to help some.potential buyers get a good deal on a new RDX. Conner is the internet salea manager.
Good luck!

For the people in the south, the inventory of SH-AWD is very low and the dealers in Raleigh are not giving much discount on them. The FWD models are aplenty and they are wheeling and dealing. Too bad that Acura underestimated the demand for SH-AWD. SH-AWD is getting a large discount up north and it might be worth driving to Virginia...

I just received a quote from Acura of Denville in New Jersey for $3000 off an ASPEC AWD model and that does not include any loyalty or military discounts.

According to the inventory Leith has 9 AWD on the lot and 4 in transit. Of course none are Tech in Steel. Looks like I'll have to drive to get one at a reasonable discount but that's what I've had to do with the last two cars. Waiting another month or so.
