Looking good - my first choice on color combination and impossible to find around here. I personally think nicely designed splash guards look good on modern vehicles.

Not sure these are well designed...but they are the ones designed for the 2019 RDX. When they were first put on my husband said “ don’t worry hun, you’ll get used to them and before you know it, you won’t even notice them.” . I’m still getting used to them..., but they are practical.

I can understand it being a first choice. I fell in love with this combination when I saw it and it wasn’t even on my radar! I initially thought I wanted a WDP/Parchment or WDP/Expresso, but once I saw this combination, I knew IT was the one.

I like the contrasting piping on the seats. And the splash guards don’t look bad IMO.

dcmod, where in SoCal? I'll be looking for one in Palm Springs next month, and they're in short supply.

After we decide on a car we wander the lot looking at colors. The last couple of times we got colors we were not expecting to get when we started. For us, the bronze was gleaming in the sun and looked different. We like lighter interiors, so that choice was limited. But when we saw the bronze/beige, we said ‘that one is it’. I expected to go back to bright silver, since I hadn’t had one of them for a while.

Agree, it is a very pretty car. i think it blows away Lexus in midsize SUV in looks department. but this RDX doesn't drive as well or as comfortable or luxurious as Lexus though. I wish the drive ride feel was more luxurious. but it is alot cheaper than Lexus so i can't complain, i suppose.

Beautiful, TxLady. I've been following your journey to your new RDX...well done! The side molding looks nice with that color. Blends in rather unobtrusively and like you said, they're practical. I also agree about not thinking about a certain color combination and then finding out how nice it actually is -- like yours! Enjoy.

You got me there...I guess it’s like taking precautions with what we eat and hoping our choices keep us healthy . Some things, ya just gotta make the best estimates on what you believe will work best for you and the rest - have faith in.

Regarding the mo. pmt. , we took advantage of the 1.9% for 36 months on the advice of our financial advisor. Mo pmts settled in around $1200. We did get the Resistal and Acura Care which negotiated...but before I come under attack...

- our 2002 TL had the paint protection put on it and we’ve never had it waxed...the paint still looks as shiny and new as the day we drove it off the lot...
- At 68k miles...the front seat leather developed a rip and was replaced at no cost (which would have cost more than the Resistal did).
- Acura care also ended up saving us money...the trans failed after the drivetrain warrenty was up and was replaced for free..an $8,000 job.

When it comes to these extras. We hear a lot of complaints about the costs and rip offs; but it’s an independent decision which I, for one, will never advise on.

Just picked up a A-Spec SH-AWD in Apex Blue. Paid $2000 under sticker and got them to throw in 3 free oil changes. Was offered a more than reasonable trade-in on my vehicle so overall very happy with my dealer.

If this has already been answered somewhere else, sorry for re-posting, however, I was curious as to whether anyone has tried to buy a new RDX via the Costco Auto program (or similar, like True Car, etc.)? If so, what happened? Was there any sort of noticeable discount off MSRP. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that the '19 RDX is not available through any of those outlets yet.

I just went to the Costco Auto Buying page and did a "build" on a 2019 RDX Advance. I requested a dealer quote and they sent me a link to a dealer with names to contact. I will do that, probably tomorrow, and report back on what they tell me.

I financed through USAA and used their TrueCar portal - which gave another half percent off the loan - and it was MSRP. I’m sure because there was not enough market info. This was about 3 weeks ago.

Took my Costco letter to their specified dealer today and they will sell me a new Advance for $750 over invoice, plus a $300 dealer "processing fee" (pretty common around here). I did the math and I will save nearly $2K over buying it for MSRP. Biggest negative for me is that this dealer is 30 miles away. There are several closer, but apparently none participate in the Costco program. If you have a participating dealer in your area, this looks like a pretty good way to buy the car for less, and hassle free.

Here in SoCal, where there is no Costco programs at all. I received a $2500 of MSRP on an A-Spec FWD Black which translates to about $100 above invoice with no "dealer processing fee"

I live in central Maryland. There are several other Acura dealers closer to me, but apparently they do not offer the Costco service. The one I went to is in the greater D.C. suburbs.

It is a hot car.

If you want it now, get the best deal you can, then forget about it. In the scheme of things, a thousand one way or the other makes no difference. If a thousand, or two or three is controlling, you need to go down a bit to a more affordable car, and just put this one on your list. We decided that the RDX is worth the ten thousand over the Accord we were considering. OTOH, we are torturing ourselves whether the ease of a private water taxi from Marco Polo to our hotel is worth the 60 or so extra € it would cost over hauling our bags ourselves to the Vaporetto stop. “You want to spend ten grand for the RDX over the Accord Touring? Yeah. You want to spend 70 bucks for a private taxi instead of the boat bus? I’m not so sure.”

Value is whatever we decide it is.

Sounds like first world problems Madd Dog

I can relate to your water taxi situation from our last trip a few months ago.

Wanted to share with the SoCal folks. I found a good honest dealer that is willing to sell A-Spec SH-AWD model at around $2k off MSRP. Let me know if you are interested, they were very helpful and I promised i would spread the word.

So prices are definitely dropping, as many predicted. Wasn't it just a few weeks ago when dealers were telling buyers who got a $2,000 discount that the deal was so great the buyer needed to keep the information secret?

I've received two quotes averaging ~$1,020 below MSRP -- before the Acura Loyalty ($1,000) and Military ($750) discounts. The accessories and some of the installation up-charges, though, more than make up.

No "we'll throw in" this or that accessory (they didn't volunteer it, anyway...maybe I'll help them remember that that could be the difference between them or the other guy).

people who made purhase want to belive they got the best price ever. Its a flawed thinking. There is no such thing, you can only manage to get a best deal for the time. Timing is everything.
