RDX MATS
Anyone have these mats in their RDX? Those that came in mine are truly crap. I wonder.are the plush or modified crap.

I emailed Alfredo at Center Acura in LA and after 10 emails he finally said he would only discount the Tech 2WD by $500. I was clear from the start that i was looking for $1500 (no incentives) so he was pulling my chain the whole time. Has anyone found a dealer in Southern or Northern California discounting the Tech by $1500 (no incentives)?

For that price I'd go with Lloyds mats. I've had them in 3 vehicles now and they're better than any OEM I've seen.

I did find the all weather OEM Acura mats through another Ebay Acura dealer (out of California) and with the $25 primo119 code they are $101 including free shipping. It was this seller:
niello-acura-parts (1871 )

TxLADY,
Please let me know how they look and feel when they arrive.I am afraid they may be too slippery for me. I had that issue with others I purchased last time.

Picked up our RDX tonight. Espresso interior with the silver is such a nice combo. It makes the black interior components work well with the espresso. Wife loves it! No surprises at pick up. Usual finance manager upsell BS but overall a really stress free purchase.

I’ll be glad to Hou-RL. Daughter and Son both purchased CRV’s last Fall and got the genuine Honda all weather mats as well. If these are anything like theirs,, they will have ridges that offer some grip. Will keep you posted.
I found several Acura dealerships offering large discounts on genuine assessories on EBay. Some have reduced more than others and weighing in free shipping make it a great deal.

Are you aware of any special installment hardware needed for the all weather mats? They put in the carpet ones (and Hou-RL is right about thin) nothing like the thick quality ones we’ve used in our 2002 TL since 2002 that still look new).
We’re thinking if there were any hooks or attachments required to make sure they can’t slip around, there’d already be there from the “installation” of the carpet ones.

There is a user who has posted in this forum that stated they received $3700 of the 2019 AWD Tech version in Illinois area. I dont recall seeing this posted in the prices 3rd Generation forum but just wanted to share if true. Some one in Illinois may be able to obtain this pricing in that area. The poster didn't mention the dealership but that would be a really good deal at this time.

Car Crazy for Sure!
I'd take that with a very large grain of salt. That would be $1,200 UNDER invoice (if it's an Advance) just 6 weeks after hitting the market. Not likely IMO. When I was internet shopping one of the dealers I spoke to was in Illinois and said just about every RDX above base was leaving the dealership about as fast as they were coming in.
NO...I'll eat one of my ball caps IF that were true. But, I think my ball caps can relax in the closet!! LOL!!

Dealer money....Acura money
You know...I've been reading lots of "stuff" about discounts...and "what I got off MSRP, etc"......but, through age and doing this a long time....not ego at all, I've learned this issue when negotiating. May be relevant to some of
you...if not...OK. But, I do know this...it HAS worked for me...'cause it just makes sense! LOL!
In the past I've made deals....and there was Manufacturers money involved. Meaning...let's say...$1K Cash Back....this is the manufacturers money! NOT the dealers money.
So, I've sat down to make a deal...made my offer...knowing about the Cash Back $$ being offered....and get "push back" saying..."look at the good deal you are getting off MSRP!!
I'd say....well, $1K of that is NOT YOR MONEY! It's coming from the manufacturer. I want to make a deal with...YOU...off the MSRP, and based on the Invoice you paid for the car. The extra $1K is more for me to take off our
negotiated deal. Doesn't come out of YOUR pockets.
So, keep them separate. Make a deal based on the MSRP....with the Invoice in mind....and then let any "Acura Money" come to play AFTER you make a deal. You are playing with 2 different pots of money. The dealers investment,
and the deep pockets of Acura..giving the buyer moneys as incentives, etc. Makes a difference. Many dealers will push you in to "seeing how great a deal I am giving you!" NO...you are not giving me that great a deal...but, when
adding Acura money it is much better....but, YOU are not moving that much. I'm not negotiating with the Acura money....that is a given.
Well, it seems I've read that some dealers are not very forthcoming on the "Loyalty Rebate Program"....that is worth $1K. Too bad IF that's who they are. Not honest and upfront. I'd walk out.
Just food for thought.

Agree totally. We need to dismiss WILD claims that most of us here KNOW are crazy and just not true. Prove us wrong and we'll apologize! Right guys?? I will....but, I think I'm not doing any apologizing anytime soon!

I too thought it was fluff when I read it but still I cant speak for that person and will not exclude the quote as I do not know what may or may not be true. I am in the mind to think this did not occur for this vehicle.

Some people might be getting acura dealer employee pricing discounts, we dont know if thats why people report those numbers. They are not necessarily making it up.

cost them IF they wanted to buy a new Acura.
Just my guess....but, I don't think we are dealing with an employee here. Even so.....way too much discount. IF that were true...MANY employees would be buying new Acuras and Acura would be losing lots of $$.
Often, employees will buy a low miles trade in Acura....or one from the Fleet of loaners.

When I bought my '14 Cadillac SRX my neighbor 'intervened' and I got it at GM 'executive' pricing which is better than employee and that was just barely $1500 under invoice on a vehicle with a much higher MSRP.

That price normally is for a successful dealer....but, they are not so kind as to pass on to their employees the 'very bottom dollar" price. Invoice is the norm. JMHO.

Curb your enthusiasm a bit on what the actual dealer cost and Manufacturer cost are in any given month.
#475
As others have mentioned, you have to look at the whole transaction. Maybe the person was low balled on a trade in, so the dealer was able to give extra amounts off the RDX. Or maybe the person bought all the bogus extras offered by the finance folks, so they were able to give extra amounts off. Or maybe the dealer added a lot of bogus accessories (like my closest Honda dealer does), and the person is including the discount on those worthless items as part of his discount. Or maybe the poster is lying. Who knows?

Very sad the car market is not transparent the same as stock market. If I want to buy a stock, the best offers and bids are clearly visible as the top of the market. Buying a car is offen a blind expirence as you can not get a feel of where the market price should be.

I just picked up my new RDX (AWD-Tech White with Ebony) yesterday after coming to terms with a dealer a few weeks back. I had to wait for the car to be built but after having for about a day now I am really excited about the purchase. I was able to get $1500 off MRSP PLUS the $1000 loyalty cash plus free wheel locks and a good discount on the all season and cargo mats. I enjoy negotiating and found a really good dealer to work with in the Chicagoland area. They made the whole process really simple for me given I was driving from a couple hours away, and they gave me a more than fair amount for my trade in. I will try to post pictures this weekend when I am able to.
I also purchased an extended warranty which I never have done so in the past, but with this being an all new vehicle and with so many new features and technology, it seemed to be worth it. Again I kept saying no until I got an offer I thought was more than fair (10 years 100,000 miles for $1600) for bumper to bumper, so if anything really goes wrong with the car (including the new panoramic sunroof, the alternator, or any of the other tech features it's covered). Now perhaps I will never use it, but given my son will likely be getting this car in about 5 years when he can drive, I have a feeling something may randomly happen to it.

Congratulations.
how long between when they said the car would be built and when you actually took possession? My car was supposed to be built sometime between 11-15. Still don’t have any word from my dealer about if it is headed this way.
