Physical Key - Door Lock Mystery

Physical Key - Door Lock Mystery
Occasionally, I will use the driver's door to manually lock the doors of the RDX with the physical key. This results in all four doors being locked and unable to be opened despite the keyfob being in the proximity, as intended. However, the trunk opens normally by pressing the button! Why doesn't the trunk manually lock as well? Does this happen on anyone else? I am wondering if this is a glitch, safety feature, or what!

Can you unlock the doors by touching the little lock/unlock pad on the door handle. I've never even tried the keys. I have the rubber covers on my fobs and they're a hassle to get to but I should try them, now that you mention it.

You cannot unlock the doors using the external pads despite having the keyfob in your pocket. You have to re-unlock the doors using the physical key before any of the five doors will unlock using the fob or the pad. However, you can still unlock the trunk using the trunk pad!
