Paint Protection Film - How much did you get done?

Looking to set aside some budget for applying a PPF when I order my RDX and am curious how much folks have done on theirs and how well it worked for them - did you go full hood and fenders or do a partial (like just the forward facing parts of the front?)? How much did you find doing the full hood benefit? TIA.

I got done partial hood, fenders. The entire front facing areas headlights, fog lights, black trim areas, front bumper,Acura logo. I also got the outside mirrors, A-Pillars, door edges, door cups, top of the rear bumper cover, door bottom entry painted area. I went X-Pel paint protection film. So far the PPF has worked great no paint chips. Make sure you use a good reputable installer that knows what they are doing.

Here is a picture of the front of the car. Can’t even tell the PPF is on the car. Excellent product.

We went with Xpel PPF & opted to do full bumper, headlights, fogs, Acura logo, lower black trim, mirror caps & partial hood. Paid $750 in the Atlanta area. Looks good and keeps the vehicle protected from stone chips. Can't go wrong with this mod(not a real mod I know)

I have a buddy who has this done on his F150. Truck has 30K on it and the only paint chips on it from road debris are on areas not covered by the film. I’m pretty impressed.

That is a good price. I am budgeting for PPF install this spring. My local detailer/installer only offer 3M. They don’t have XPEL. It cost a bit more in my area though. I guess it depends on where you live.

@Detailer How much did you pay for all of that? My local installer charges a “Full Kit” for $1700 and it doesn’t include most of what you got.

https://www.mmautodetailing.com/deta...-vehicle-film/
Full Kit: Front Bumper, Entire Hood, Entire Fenders, Both Headlights, Both Mirrors: ONLY $1699 INSTALLED!

Thanks. Your RDX looks really nice and I can’t tell with PPF on. I had the same color and trim.

I did exactly the same except a-pillars.

I'm happy with it. I don't think full hood and fenders is necessary on the RDX.

I got the front end wrapped with xpel ultimate: bumper, headlights, fog lights, full hood, fender, mirrors, and door cups. So glad I did it, saved my car a few times from some major rock chips. Price is relative, just make sure you find a good installer.

I had my A-spec protected with PPF today. Package included the full hood, bumper, front grill trim, partial fenders, headlamps, fog lights, side view mirrors, door handle cups, door edges, and top of the rear bumper. $1300 out the door including a complimentary rental car while the vehicle was in for the service.

SunTek PPF Ultra

Just had this installed on full hood, fenders, bumper, back of side mirrors, door edges, door handle cups and rear upper bumper. total cost for this including tax was $1682 in Tucson, Arizona. I previously had the door sills done. This area is almost to me as important as the other locations. Also has a 10 year warranty.
