OTA Upgrade Failed (D.1.0.7 to D.1.1.2)

Yesterday I saw the upgrade (!) in my notification area:

I went to SYSTEM UPGRADES and started the upgrade, the same way I started the D.1.0.7 upgrade (from D.1.0.4). I watched as the system restarted, over and over, saw it get to Step 6 of 6, reboot, then return to normal operation. I was driving so I just continued listening to the radio until I got to work where I checked to see the version number, and it was there I saw that I was still on D.1.0.7! I went to work, came back, drove home and checked it again. Still on D.1.0.7.

This morning I checked again, rebooted with the 3 finger salute, and eventually did a complete system reset back to Factory Defaults. Still D.1.0.7. No update icon. No way to get the update again as the system responds that there are no updates available.

I checked the error log and found errors of a corrupt file. Swell.

Anyone else have this issue, or am I the only lucky one.

I guess I need to get the USB download, but I haven't a clue how to get that. Any ideas?

From a new thread started by a fellow stranded traveler:

"Just got this email from Acura:"

""Recently you received an email from us regarding an available software update for your Acura RDX. Unfortunately, due to a technical difficulty there is a delay in your RDX receiving the update. We hope to have this resolved within a few days.

You’ll know the update is available for download and installation when you see the orange colored exclamation point on the System Updates icon on your information display, as shown above.

Thank you for your patience and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this has caused.

Save this email for reference later. Once you see the orange exclamation point, follow the instructions below:""

Well, after resetting to Factory Defaults without success, I was planning on heading to the dealership even though I knew they'd be clueless about this, but this morning I got the (!) so I immediately pulled into a parking lot, stayed there and let the whole thing update. This time it took less time than the first time, but it took! I now have D.1.1.2.

So if this happens to anyone else, just wait it out. So it failed on the 14th, but reinstalled on the 19th, so wait 5 days and try again. Kind of odd, but what else is new?

Glad it finally worked out. I am enjoying sending destinations to the nav. It actually works.
