I haven't really given it much thought, but where in this car can you throw change you get from tolls, drive-thru's, etc? The big storage area is back past your elbow, and the small storage area next to the cup holders is really the only accessible spot, but that's pretty small and contains your USB port for music and will probably store things like your access card and stuff you need everyday.

No easy coin storage that I see.

Good question.

My wife gave me a little square leftover food container as a car-warming gift. It lives on the lower tier of the console.

I'll probably use one of the cup holders since I seldom, if ever, have both of them in use at the same time for their design purpose.

Don't have mine yet but, does the inside door handle/pull have a 'finger hole' with a bottom? If so it could be used.

Yes, there's a bottom in the door armrest. It's even lined with soft-touch material.
Not very deep, though. Maybe 1.5".

EZ Pass, no coins.

I only eat fast food on the road, and then I go in for the break. No coins.

When I know I am going to some uncivilized place that requires actual cash tolls, I tell my wife to put a coin purse in her bag.

It's just deep enough for my daughter to be tempted to put her phone in the passenger's side door handle pocket, and just shallow enough for it to tumble out onto the pavement when she abruptly opens the door.

Coins are probably safe from spontaneous ejection.

I have been looking on Amazon for a solution to this as my Mazda CX-9 had a coin storage area.

Maybe just get something like this: http://a.co/2BXshFF

I don't carry cash or coins so I think I'm going to be okay haha but I wouldn't be surprised as newer cars don't really set aside a space for them.

I found something at Staples that works pretty well. (I see that Amazon sells it as well). It fits nicely under the console (see picture), but it might move around on me, although it does have some weight to it. Once I throw a few quarters in it, it should be fine. Check it out:

coins for what? EZPASS for tolls and parking apps for meters. Coins are the days of the past.

Coins? What are those? I have not used coins in years, actually carry cash only for emergencies. But seeing you are in the NE I am thinking you have tolls to deal with?

To me, coins have become a big PITA. I usually charge everything, but if not, I never have the right change anyway. So I just give them bills and put the coins in my pocket. When I get home, if I remember, I put them in my dish. If I forget, when I watch the game and recline on my Lazy Boy, the coins fall out of my pocket. Either way, the next day, I never have the right change anyway.

What with all these first world problems I must endure, it ain't easy being me.

Coins are a PITA and it's true there not used as much as they used to be but I still get them from time to time and it's a lot easier to dump them in a bin than try and weasel them into my pockets or just chuck them in the cup holder. I guess I am just used to having a place to toss them quickly as cars over the years have had places to put them in the console or somewhere.

Besides, that little tray thing I found is also good for holding USB sticks!

Thanks oblio98.. I will definitely be getting one of these as I like to have change when I go through drive-thru's.
