Keypad use during call

Hello,

I have a question concerning the phone. I received a call today to confirm an appointment by entering a number 1,2,3,4 etc.

How do I respond with a number? (No keypad that I can see) I don't see that option on the headup display. I don't see an easy way
to enter a number. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Roy

You can write it on the true touchpad with your finger.

If you are using car play the keypad on the infotainment screen won’t be accessible while the vehicle is moving. You can use the keypad on the phone anytime.

Okay, this seems to defeat the very purpose of hands free telephony.

When in a call, you have to hit the "back" button on the steering wheel to make the infotainment functions accessible. From there, you can click phone and then keypad and enter the number by writing it on the touchpad. It's kludgy and takes some getting used to. I wish they had just provided a phone keypad instead.

Someone in here already mentioned a way to turn off driver distraction. On the touch pad there are 3 buttons, hold left and right button at the same time to bring up hidden menu.

I think I am missing something here. I have read about the 3 button reboot,is holding these 2 buttons (left and Right) different? What is in this hidden menu that we can use? ...To turn off driver distraction???

Thanks!
