Red Debut RDX

Can anyone please tell me why the RDX is not available in the red colour that they debuted the vehicle at most of the autoshows. Man it is a nice red. Similar to the Mazda red. It would be a no brainer for me to buy the RDX based on the colour alone. The red that is in the dealerships is nice but no where close to the other red. I would have paid extra for it!

Acura has been doing that for years.
They previewed the TLX in that color in 2014 and when they release the car their was no red at all except 'Basque Red Pearl II' which was a hideous maroon color.

My Performance Red Pearl is a bit lighter than the auto show color but, I parked it next to my cousin's Soul Red Crystal Metallic Mazda CX-5 and it is nearly identical.

Mazda charges $595. Acura charges $400.

Look at the Performance Red Pearl in different lighting. You may like it after all.

I have the new red color as well on my A-SPEC and it's turned heads for sure. I think you'd like it if you saw it.

The actual color really is close to the show car.
Also, the tech wheels look almost the same but, the show car has 21s and the real ones are 19s.
The real mirrors are a lot chunkier as well.
The front windows have less tint in the real world.

Nevertheless, I'm extremely happy with my choice.

A-spec only for a RED interior.

Yes, I misread the footnote:
Premium Exterior Color
above: Requires A-Spec package

I'm not normally a fan or red but I gotta say, the red A-spec looks pretty nice!

That one's cleaner than mine! But I have to say, my red A-Spec draws a lot of attention to itself. Maybe a little TOO much attention. It's really a "hey look at me" car, which is not a good thing in all cases, you know?

Yep, there are times when blending into the background is a good thing.

blue is the same way! Can’t tell you how many slow rolls I’ve gotten and second takes! Came out of a store and a couple people were just walking around it looking at it. They were like “what is that?” 😂
