Hit the 600 miles mark!
Honestly, my RDX is a sweet ride. After reading about all these oil dilution issues with some members on this forum, I wanted to make sure I wasn't one of them. I drove a 20-mile loop on the highway and I allowed the throttle to be open a lot harder tonight. OH MAN OH MAN, the power of this car is simply amazing. I was restraining myself to drive "normally" and not allowing to hit 3.5-4K RPM until I hit 600 miles. Well tonight, I drove it hard and fast. All I can say, I am SOOO happy I got this car. The sheer acceleration and power are so much more than the previous V6 engines on my 2015 TLX.
I really enjoyed my drive tonight. Anyway, I got back and waited about 2 minutes and check my oil level; it was perfect and right below the top marking on the dipstick. Not sure how people can tell but oil has some level of gasoline smell to them. I know because I do my own oil changes. I do feel for the owners that are experiencing these issues. I do warm up the car before I head out. I hope Acura will support those with this issue.

I just broke 1K the other day - exactly one month to the day. Yesterday, I went down to Ocean Parkway on Jones Beach, which is pretty much deserted on Sunday mornings this time of year. About 12 miles of straightaway with few other vehicles and (hopefully) no cops. Great place to wring out a vehicle.
I guess the VTEC RPM is about 4400(?). I went past that most times but I never mashed the throttle. I don't think I've gone more than halfway yet on the peddle. Don't have to. I was really trying to get a feel for the dynamic modes and the D/S modes of the transmission. That's fine for getting a feel for the power but it doesn't tell me much about the handling. Maybe next week I'll head up to the North Shore where there are a lot of hills and narrow winding roads.
This car is fun to drive.

Right on! I have been erasing tires there since wringing out my brother in law's Mazda RX7 twin turbo early one Sunday morning many years ago.
If you want to meet-up at Captree one weekend, let me know.

I just hit the 350 mile mark today and I just keep finding excuses to go and take a drive. The power is amazing and the drive is even more amazing. I'm loving every aspect of this car, more than any other car that I have purchased. I have received several compliments already.

Coming up on 7 months and 1600 miles total (A-Spec)...gotta get out more! Regardless, handling is awesome. Reminds me a lot of an older BMW 3 with sport package I had once. Corners great...handles great.
