I had xpel clear bra applied to my headlights and fog lights from my clear bra shop along with the rest of the front end. Haven't tried installing any myself.
I had Lamin-X professionally installed on a previous vehicle and I was very disappointed. The edges started lifting in no time, and I was forced to remove it after just a couple months.
What is it protecting the headlights from? Clouding? Rock chips?
I have never used any kind of protection on any of my cars. Aside from clouding of the lens which I experienced on the car that I kept for 10 years, I never had any issues with headlights.
Typically rock chips and UV killing the clearcoat and causing it to cloud. It's more important for people who don't park their cars in garages as the headlights can yellow significantly over time.
I did it because my tint guy recommended it when he tinted my TLX and I declined. After 20,000 miles my headlights looked horrible because of all the rock chips
I'll second Xpel...great product and I've never experienced a concern in all the cars I have used it on. Always had it professionally installed but headlights, based on the number of contours, could be a fairly easy DIY project.

Mainly rock chips. You'd be surprised how much beating the front end of vehicles take. I get Xpel clear bra (partial coverage) on all my vehicles now. Keeps the front end looking brand new and great for resale.
For people in Northern California, Imperial Works in Sacramento is awesome.
I also vouch on PPF on the entire front end of the RDX. I just did partial hood,fenders,headlights,fog lights,grill,Acura emblem, mirrors, A pillars,door edges, rear bumper luggage area, door entry sills. All the above was done with X Pell PPF. 2019 Acura RDX A Spec AWD.
You might want to keep on eye on radar controlled functions. From the owner's manual:
Radar Sensor
Avoid strong impacts to the radar sensor cover.
For the CMBSTM to work properly:
• Always keep the radar sensor cover clean.
• Never use chemical solvents or polishing powder
for cleaning the sensor cover. Clean it with water
or a mild detergent. • Do not put a sticker on the radar sensor cover or
replace the radar sensor cover.
No problems with the PPF on the Acura emblem. I live in Southern California and the freeways can be a pretty brutal environment on the front end of cars. We also experienced a good amount of rain recently and the driving conditions were very poor. The radar behind the emblem worked fine with no issues in less than ideal conditions. I would imagine the PPF is pretty much optically clear. The pros and cons were taken into consideration.
