Footwell Lighting?

For some reason I thought the feet wells would have some lighting. But there doesn't seem to be any and the manual doesn't show any. ??

I have red ambient lighting in the footwell. It’s faint, but it’s there.

My Advance has white LED lighting in the front footwells that comes on with the headlights.

2019 Acura RDX Press Kit - Honda News
The interior switches are illuminated to make them easy to locate at night, including the switches on all four doors and the steering wheel. In addition to front and rear overhead interior lights and map lights, the RDX also has a complement of low-level LED interior cabin lights. White ambient lighting in the ceiling illuminates the front center console, front foot wells and door handles.

In the RDX A-Spec, the interior lighting has an aggressive red theme, including red primary instrument lighting.

While at the dealer today checking the engine oil smell, I raised the issue of the interior lighting. Apparently footwell lights aren't activated on the Advance. Nor are the door handle cup lights. I'd like to have that system installed or activated, whichever would be required. The slots for the LED's are in the footwell and the door handle cups already. I'll have to see if I can find somebody to do it. They come already active on the A-Spec which I saw at the dealer today.

As I said, my Advance has front footwell and door handle lighting. It's white. Attached is a [horrible, dark, and blurry] photo of the footwell lighting in my 2019 RDX Advance.

Honda says all RDX trims have ambient LED lighting - red on the A-Spec and white on other trims.

"In addition to front and rear overhead interior lights and map lights, the RDX also has a complement of low-level LED interior cabin lights. White ambient lighting in the ceiling illuminates the front center console, front foot wells and door handles." - 2019 Acura RDX Press Kit - Interior - Honda News (Honda worded this wrong. The way they worded it makes it sound like white lights on the ceiling illuminate the front footwell and door handles in addition to the center console, but that's wrong. The footwells and door handles have their own LED lights in all trims.)

Sales guy just called. There's a setting in Vehicle for Interior Lighting Sensitivity. He had me put it to Max. I'm not sure that mattered. But as long as the headlights were on--the footwell and door handles were lit. So I now have lights. Thanks for the feedback team. Very helpful--and I sent the comments to the sales guy which helped as well.
