Espresso Interior is STUNNING
I really hope this "Espresso" interior (available in the '18 RLX) is an option in the '19 RDX. It is beyond gorgeous.

On the Acura website introducing the 2019 RDX, they do show a small pic of the dash with the brown interior among other pics as well. I tried to copy the pic, but it wouldn't let me LOL

Espresso interior is available with White or Silver exterior.
I am buying white with espresso Advance as we speak. It is stunning. And the most fun I’ve had on 4 wheels in years. 😃

The piping is black in Advance trim with Espresso interior. No piping in base or Tech trims, but there is contrasting stitching.

Thanks for sharing about the Expresso! ( Would love to know how the deal went down as well.). Keep us updated with your thoughts as you get experience in your new RDX.

I don't take delivery until Tuesday, and sadly I didn't think to take interior pics while I was in it today. But the things are hitting the dealer lots. Happy hunting!
BTW, gratuitous $500 off MSRP for being a valued repeat customer, but they did pretty well by me on the trade. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. Hard to be a shrewd negotiator while you're snagging a hot new model when its tires have barely touched the lot.

Espresso interior IS beautiful! I wish they offered with more exterior colors than just white and silver, but we got White with Espresso interior! It's a big hit and everyone loves it!!

I think the Espresso is nice but actually would have preferred it be an ever darker shade of brown. In my hunt for a new RDX I wanted White with Ebony interior and there have only been a handful nationwide in the AWD-Tech trim, but I found over 40 with Espresso. I think it's nice that Acura is offering this additional color but I think they may be overproducing it at the moment. I also saw several Silver with Espressos available nationwide but few Silver with Ebony.

Espresso should also be offered additionally (at a minimum) on both Black and Canyon Bronze. Come on Acura this should be simple to do !!!

We dont have many White W/ Espresso near us currently. This is a very limited item to find in our area as my wife preferred that color interior. I was going to get one if available but no luck. Dealer had one locally but knew that it was the only one so they didn't want to let it go for a deal. They still have it on the lot.

Yes, it’s either selling quickly or they aren’t making as many of this combination. We’re hoping to get a WDP with Parchment (1st choice) or Expresso (2nd choice) in Advanced SH-AWD because we sometimes travel to areas in Colorado with inclement road conditions. In Central Texas, they have only been getting one SH-AWD in the Advance model at a time; and, they sell before they hit the ground.. we don’t have a problem driving to Houston for one, but are waiting till the dealers are ready to deal.
(HOU-RL , still hoping to take you up on your gracious offer to wheel and deal for us if we don’t loose our wits first . ).
We still haven’t gotten to drive an SH-AWD Advance model yet but we’ve heard the handling is a bit better on that model with the adaptive damper feature offered. (Not sure if this is indeed true...but we were told that).

I opted for the FWD this time since I am rarely in a situation where an AWD is needed, if ever.
I inquired about an SH-AWD model when I was first looking and was told it would be a couple of months wait

Car Crazy for Sure!
Not new for Acura
This color has been used by Acura....in the MDX and I believe in the TLX. I looked at one when I was picking up my white/red A-Spec. My GM said...take a look at the Espresso sitting next to yours. I opened the door...
and I starred for a bit.....well, I have to say...NOT for me. Each to their own tastes of course. But, it looked like a "nasty diaper" from one of my kids...back in the day! LOL! Or a big chocolate factory tub spilled over.
What a comparison huh? LOL!! I'll take the parchment....but, the red in both our A-Specs are amazing.
Whatever makes us happy....of course!!

The SH-AWD is a lot of fun, if you are willing to drive it in the way it's made. I have had it on 2 Acura's so far and it's a blast in curves due to the way it handles the power to the wheels.

appreciate what it can do. Just normal driving around town or down the freeway will NOT give you the feedback on what the SH-AWD can really do. I haven't pushed my '19 RDX too hard in a corner yet, but, as one
auto writer put it..."you have to learn to trust the system." I'm just not as trusting...yet....of the higher up RDX vs my low sitting TLX.
I do know that the new RDX does handle much better than my 3 previous Gen 2 RDX's.

For me the color itself is OK, but looks like it was included as an afterthought. With the Ebony, Parchment and Graystone interiors the seat belts and seat backs match the seats giving a planned and cohesive appearance (Parchment and Graystone also match the headliner) - the Espresso matches nothing and makes the interior look a bit patchwork. To each their own.

We we would have loved the blue exterior with the Espresso interior, but blue was only available in Graystone, and I didn’t like the gray with the brown wood trim in the Advance. So we went white.
