Diamond Cut Wheels?

I'm looking at a Black Advanced Trim (I like the look of A Spec but...) and was considering upgrading to these wheels - 20-in Black Diamond-Cut Alloy Wheels with Tires

They look nice on the website and I'm wondering if anyone has seen them in person?

They would be a nice upgrade over the Advance wheels but at $3,500 installed I think waiting for 3rd party wheel packages would be better. Tirerack has the RDX in the database but no wheels yet. $3,500 should buy some nice rims with tires of your choosing.

I agree these wheels look awesome. I believe these are the wheels that were used at the Auto Show seen here.

It's a shame Acura put such bad wheels on the already more expensive Advance to force customers to have to make this choice.

I saw them at the NY auto show. Didn’t love them on the red RDX, but am also seriously considering these on a black Advance vs an all-black A-spec.

the noted price includes the crappy Goodyear’s. I believe I saw the wheel only price at $2400, and it may be possible to get them somewhat discounted from one of the online Acura parts departments. The order your preferred tire from tire rack and have them shipped to your local installer and bring the wheels.

I have a feeling there is going to be a glut of OEM Advanced wheels popping up in the FS forum / eBay...

I would imagine around $2,000 for a decent package. I checked this for the MDX, which should be very close to what we will be able to get aftermarket for the RDX in 20's. I really wish Acura would offer an "upgrade" where you delete the Advance 19's and get the 20's for $1,000 up-charge. I understand offering extra accessory wheels, but $3,500? What really gets me is lower trims get decent wheels, and they assume the Advance buyers will just pay more ...

Agreed. Tire Rack will evaluate the vehicle itself, so it might be a while until they have a list of wheels. Honestly, I don't care much for Tire Rack's wheel selection, so I'd be looking elsewhere anyway. There are some pluses to buying the accessories wheels, but cost is not one of them. You absolutely could do better in the aftermarket.

I don't like the accessory wheel either, I've seen regular MDX wheels that look better than that. I like the machined finish, just not the pattern, have Advance on order but will wait to replace the wheels, maybe use the originals for winter and get another style of wheel/tire for summer.

Even my wife who doesn't really pay attention to wheels said "can I transfer the wheels from my current RDX, I don't like the new ones"! Sorry, wrong size, too bad. Here's what she now has.

What are they listing as MSRP for these 2 variants? The black 19's give it some character IMO. Wish they were 20s and wish they weren't $2000.

The Modern Steel Advance is listed for $48,395. I don't see the white one listed.

White one is not on their website anymore so it's must have sold. Gray one is listed at $48,395 (Advance AWD)

Thanks. Interesting, if the list is $48,395, they priced in a discount on the wheels (assuming this is an AWD model). Wish others would do that as well.

Yeah mostly the advance wheels look the worst to me. Not sure how they ended up being on the production model. The Tech wheels are nicer. Maybe they figure if you buy an advance you have some extra money to toss in new wheels too.

I think that Base, Tech, and Glint Black (accessory) are all the same basic 10-spoke Enkei wheel with different paint treatments.

The base wheel is painted glitter silver.
The Tech Wheel is painted gray and then, the face is machined.
The Glint Black wheel is painted metallic black.

All three are then clear-coated.
Charging an extra $2,000 for the black paint treatment is really greedy.
They probably still charge to install the accessory wheels.

Glitter Silver (Std)

Pewter Gray (Tech)

Glint Black ($2,000 accessory)

The diamond cut are interesting but, $3,320? Puh-leeze.

These are also prices for an “exchange” for the existing wheels when you buy the vehicle new. How much do you think they will sell these as standalone wheels with no exchange? Online parts departments typically sell OEM wheel replacements at discount, so might be able to get these cheaper in a few months.

The Tech wheels are by far the most appealing to me. I even prefer them to the A-Spec's wheels, but I'd swap out the stock Conti's for some 255 series AS 3+ or DWS06. For those who like the look and must have 20's, may I suggest the Ace Scorpio applied a little too aggressively to the CX-5 below.

The matte black or solid gloss black would look great on an A-Spec. Since I'd be working with an Advance, I'd have mine in Hyper Black.

Actually you can put the '18's from an RDX or Accord on. Use the RDX tire size 235/60/18....the tire diam. is the same as the 19's ......29.2" You'll have more tire between road and wheel...as the older RDX...and
it will ride better overall.

Curry Acura in Scarsdale, NY has listed the 2019 RDX accessories in their eBay store at discounted prices. Park Acura in Akron, OH listed some accessories as well.
I've purchased form both of them in the past. Free shipping and no tax if you're out of state.

They are offering the 19" Glint Black wheels for $1,625 and The Diamond Cut for $1,850 (you would need to buy 20" tires).

I like the look of these, especially the idea of the hyper black on an Advanded in black.

Ok, where are the photoshop experts to do a mock-up?

These could also look nice, keeping a bit of the prototype look... plus I just generally like the continuity and symmetry of 10 spoke wheels

The 20" x 9" ET 40 Scorpio should fit, with a more flush look than the stock wheels. Ace has their own photoshop tool, but they don't have the Ace Scorpio listed for the RDX. Hopefully it's not being discontinue.

Sure. There's not much to it, honestly. The hard part is finding a good photo. It can't be dead-on profile.

It's my favorite, too. The Scorpio is the wheel I was going to buy myself, but after doing the photoshop I felt the Devotion is a little more appropriate for the MKX. I'm sure some won't be happy that it's only available 20" and up.

Has anyone gotten the 20” diamond cut wheels on their RDX? What about aftermarket wheels? Tire rack still doesn’t seem to show wheel availability on the 2019... (been using the 2018 TLX configurator for ideas, as it has same bolt pattern)

I’m getting closer to buying the RDX Advance, but really need some improved wheel options.

Maybe these will work. TLX, 19", Black Diamond Cut, optional wheels. List for $1,860....with a 25% discount, that anyone should be able to get when buying a new RDX, etc, would then be $1,395.
They are black inside, but, that machine work of the face helps give some contrast. They would be a perfect no issue fit for your Advance.
