Car got backed into tonight 😟
My car got backed into while I was in a brewery. A couple witnessed and got what they thought was plate number, but cops could not match. Scratches on bumper and grill is cracked, was a Jeep Grand Cherokee. People just suck. Insurance will see what they can do, but I'm not optimistic. So disappointing, can't have nice things without getting ruined, kept in nice for 2 whole months.

Sucks, but mechanically your RDX will be purring like a kitten long after that damn JGC is spewing parts on the pavement ( if it isn't already ). Yeah, I owned a couple of them.
Yeah, you're probably out the deductible but get it fixed and move on. Basically the same thing happened to me a couple years ago. My vehicle was parked along the roadside at a nearby state park, and when I returned to it I found a HUGE crease in the quarter panel and rear door. Thousands of dollars in repairs, but not my fault so no rate increase or anything like that. I got it fixed ASAP so I could stop stewing about it.

People can be real jerks these days. Honesty and doing the right thing seem to be a lost art. Something similar happened to me just after I bought my 2015 Rogue SL AWD. I had the car for a month and an elderly lady side swiped me in the parking lot of Dairy Queen when she was trying to park. I was inside with my family eating. She left a long crease from my right rear door to my front bumper. Luckily an employee saw it happen and said something. Her insurance paid for the repair with no rate increase for me.

Sorry to hear that and yep I would be frustrated too. My wifes car got hit while it was parked in a parking lot....guy had a medical condition while driving a company truck..he was totally at fault....his company said their worker did not have approval to drive it.....So I had to pay our deductible.....could have got a lawyer I guess, but would have cost more than the damage!! Check and see if the restaurant has any cameras..or cameras nearby that could have seen it.

any chance that the brewery has security cameras outside. They might be able to find the car/plate or match face to credit card. Some people just suck.

The company said the driver didnt have approval to drive the company truck.......We received a letter from their insurance company stating that.....and Erie insurance (which we have) said they couldnt do much.....thinking about it now..we paid a reduced deductible..but that was after I complained....Made no senseto me....I asked..well did the company report it stolen? Liek I said, could have got a lawyer involved, but would have cost me more $$$$$ than the accident.

One thing that helped my case following an act of vandalism on a public road last year was surveillance video from a nearby gas station. I had a dash cam, but it doesn't record to the sides of the vehicle where the damage occurred and you couldn't see the actor during the event. You could on the surveillance video, though!

my 2019 RD got rear ended and the chick asked me to pull over to exchange information. Soon as I turned right onto a one way street she kept going and took off. $1500 in damage.
The side shots are AFTER it was fixed..... the paint now doesnt match the factory job...they are respraying it now. Im so pissed!!

Were you able to at least get a license plate number or partial? Man people are just asses these days. She was probably uninsured or one accident away from being too risky to insure. At least you were not seriously hurt I hope.
