First trip to the gas station today for our new RDX. Had a little trouble getting the filler nozzle fully inserted, saw that little button to the right of the filler opening. Pushed it and it popped out, pushed it again and it popped back in. What the heck is that?! Nothing in the owners manual about it.

I'm pretty sure what you're talking about is what keeps the gas lid open/close. When all the doors are unlocked, you press the gas lid for it to open/eject; when you push the door in, it closes and sticks in place.
