Anyone else miss having a digital speedo? Cheap solution
I really miss having a digital speedo, my old Genesis had one in the gauges. I guess I'm just getting older and find reading speeds off the analog speedo difficult, I can read the large numbers but seeing those little hashmarks is tough. Picked this up for like $25 off of Amazon, plugs into the OBD port and after tuning it it's pretty much spot on. I know you guys with the HUD already have this, but this is more for those of us who got the non HUD models.
Works perfectly in daylight, even in bright sunlight. But you have to use the supplied film, it's just a small square of slightly reflective film. Without the film it's still very usable in all conditions except bright sunlight.

Will this cause battery drain? I like it. Also do you have a picture of how the wire is hidden from view?
I had no idea aftermarket HUDs were available. Never thought of it. The HUD is one of my fav features on my Advance. Too bad my 04 RSX-S is too old to connect or I'd get one for it.

In the photo, it looks like it says “highway” at the bottom, and shows a directional arrow. But this just plugs into the OBD port, and I looked at the Amazon link you provided and it says nothing about navigation. What am I seeing wrong?

Got a survey call from Acura. Told them the lack of a digital speedo was my #1 complaint. This is my wives car and bought for the safety features. Got a a Driver's mode not available error for no apparent reason. The Navi screen bounced back and forth between Day and Night. My wife says she got a Cruise failure error, but I can't reproduce.

My infotainment did the same thing. Nav switch in and out night and day mode then infotainment completely went dark. Dealer can’t reproduce. I showed the SA the video. Dealer reset the whole system. The other day infotainment acted up again. When I switch to usb audio and SrriusXM the “initialize” screen loop forever. I had to use the three buttons combo to reboot it. Acura need to fix this quick and fast. Hopefully the OTA update come out soon. I ammo. De version D1.0.7.

It shouldn't cause battery drain, it just powers on when the vehicle is on. The wire is just pushed into the dash at the front where it meets the window, and to the drivers A pillar and then to the OBD port. I can't see any wire at all, it's pretty stealth.

Yes that's my radar detector, doesn't have anything to do with the speedo. I just mounted the radar detector screen right onto the speedo which makes it so I can see it very easily.
