Doesn't it seem like Acura could at least publish the specs by now? Maybe not final pricing but MPG and everything else has to have been finalized and certified at this point. I'm beginning to think Acura is being a little to coy for their own good.

I just spoke with my local dealership. He showed me the paper with 60 RDX's on order. They should be arriving 2nd week in June. They have another 40 on order but do not have an expected date for delivery.

On another note the one salesmen took 3 deposits before lunch on the RDX's... I should have asked him what the Sale Price or MSRP is...

He said this is by far the most activity they have seen on an Acura model in over 10 years.

He is going to call me when they come in so I can give it a test drive!

We have been able to pack everything into either our 535 or Accord for a month in Florida (we are both fully retired), and I learned something way back when I was wet behind the ears and was taking three-week driving trips to our wonderful national parks: We are in America baby, we can buy stuff we need and don't have to carry everything with us. Heck, the last time we lit out, we bought a cooler online at REI and had it delivered to Vegas where that trip's loop began. We liked it so much we wanted it at home. So, three weeks later, we went into that REI and told them we really liked it, did they think they could ship it to us for a reasonable price. Heck, no, the guy said. Return that sucker and order a new one to be shipped to your house. So we did.

America is truly a great country, and you can get anything you need virtually anywhere you need it. All you need is some careful planning and money.
Yes, I'm very aware of turbos and altitude. But, the 3.5 is fully capable of handling altitude. I'm at 6,200 feet and my RDX's...2nd Gen...are super quick vehicles. NO issues. Been higher...and no problem, But, it's more than that.
Right, wrong or indifferent....I just "trust" the 3.5 engine over time..long driving days, etc, vs a turbo engine. And, the MDX sits higher than the RDX and I like that when out on the highways and byways. Sedans capable...of course....but,
when it comes to being more in "command" of your surroundings.....I will take the MDX every time over my TLX...or a 5 series Beemer, etc. Heck, I'd get a Toyota Tundra...and put a shell and some weight in the back to travel in...but, I don't
think my wife would want one. Even though they are very nice inside...esp. the top model. Or an F150 King Ranch.

But, again, as much as I like the RDX...well not sure yet about the '19 model.....the MDX is and has been my choice for some time now for a U.S. travel vehicle. Yes, even though there are only 2 of us....I like room, and I won't be "hauling"
that much stuff...but, again. other factors I mentioned are what I look for.

Honda and Acura have been like this for many years. The dealers are always frustrated with them since they don't have the "details" till late in the game like they would like to have. Part of it is...they have a lot of '18's on the lots. Not that
they won't sell...they are....but, big volume dealers normally have a lot of MDX's and RDX's on the lots. Great prices on them right now.

Honestly, it’s taking forever to get even one single review. Cmon Acura!

I am sure there is a delay. Infiniti QX50 isn’t released yet but the reviews were out at least a month ago.

Who knows whag acura is cooking??? Why such a long delay?

Dealers are starting to tweet RDX pictures telling people they are taking orders and to come on down this week to check them out. At this point Acura really needs to open the flood gates on info and update their website.

I know most of us here, the enthusiasts, are drooling. But most of the actual customers have no clue. When things come out, they come out.

so true!!!

Last time I was talking to a friend and I told him that the competition between QX50 & RDX will be tough, although it seems like the RDX will be the winner he was like a new RDX and QX50 are coming out. He had no clue.

It looks like like we will get a couple of reviews this week or early next week.

After doing as much research as I could, I am slightly disappointed at some of the features Acura left out for the new RDX.

I was hoping for power folding mirrors, electronic tilt/telescope steering wheel linked with seat memory, and a spare tire. I could live without those features but they would be nice to have in an all new Luxury SUV. The wheels shown on the Advanced trim level are also disappointing as they look more fitting for a base model RDX. Also hoping that the parking brake has an automatic feature where it engages once the car is shifted to the park position.

Also wished that the A-Spec came with the adjustable dampers as that would make the A-Spec badge more "sporty".

Little complaints here and there but no car is perfect. Hopefully the RDX lives up to become one of the better, if not the best SUVs in this hot segment.

It is pretty ridiculous the specs have yet to be released. Dimensions were decided eons ago so there won't be any changes this late in the game. This would at least give some folks an idea if it going to work for them. Pricing should have also been finalized a while back if they are hitting the lots in less than a month.

Several of y’all have indicated you’ve been told of delivery dates. Can y’all please start including the state of the dealerships that claim arrival dates ( dealership names would be great if your not sworn to secrecy.). Many profiles don’t indicate where you are from. Thanks!

Mississauga, Ontario, Canada here. Just received an email from my selling agent stating "the US always gets them way before us.I am going on a ride and drive Jun 8th full day I will take some pictures for you and give details." Looks like us up North will have to wait another 3 weeks or so before our dealers start getting them into the dealerships.

Just got a call from abother dealership (called a bunch for info lol) and was told that they had training on the rdx and was advised at training that pricing releases on June 15th and you can expect people to actually get their cars at the beginning of July. Take it for what it's worth...info from another random agent.

A few observations. Sat by a new CRV Touring this AM and liked the standard wheels. I generally liked the 2018 RDX Advance wheels as sell. The Accord Sport has pretty dramatic wheels. Looks like wheels are going to be added to the backdoor profit margin at dealers on the RDX line.

My dealership sent and email yesterday saying in 13 days you can drive and RDX. Schedule now. I did not this morning but I am not sure that is what they say it is at this point.

I have a 2018 Accord Sport 2.0T and compared to the "old" V-6 much better torque, different sounds but not more efficient. Will be anxious to see the actual mpg potential of this engine designed for premium pushing an AWD Cross over. Audi and BMW 2.0T are very efficient.

compared Ed to the “old” V6, is the four much rougher, or is it pretty smooth?

It was in Cary this morning, 9-12. I left the dealership at 10 and my wife and I were the only ones there. The sales manager said she was going to Fayetteville this afternoon so he was probably wrong.

Hey nice to see another person from Cary!

I too missed the RDX in Durham this morning due to work, however the salesman I've been in contact with is supposed to send some photos along my way.

Nice!
I told the salesman that I would purchase in late summer/early Fall. Didn't get any photos, but plan to test drive next month if I can!

I put a deposit down back in February so I'm actually first in line. Aiming for the Advanced so hopefully we can get the monthly payment into a range I feel comfortable.

It's most likely heading down to Fayetteville after the South point Acura showing?

How did you like the new RDX??

I liked pretty much everything I had read so today was looking at the real thing. As I said in another thread I was concerned about leg room with a seemingly wide console. That wasn't a problem. It has a spare tire(option?) so that's good. My wife likes a high drivers seat and wasn't happy with another suv that we tried out but was very happy with the RDX. The space behind the second seat was larger than I expected as was the storage space under the floor. I'd seen pictures but it was nice to confirm that in person. The headsup display seemed weak even with it turned up all the way. Maybe I was doing something wrong.

All in all we're waiting for the test drive to see how the engine/transmission work out and how quiet the RDX is on the road.

Was the car in a showroom or outdoors? If inside I wonder if the fluorescent lights were drowning out the HUD

I received an invite to the local dealership's unveiling of the RDX on the 29th. I assume other dealers will be doing similar events.

I had an invitation to my dealer in Middle TN to see the "prototype" RDX on 5/17 and then again on 5/21. Said they would have a car that could be driven on 6/1.

Sat in a white a-spec today, the interior is very nice, the panoramic roof is a nice touch. A very nice vehicle indeed.

A few more pics from dealers getting in zone cars.

The first parchment Advance I've seen. All the others have been black. With the Advance getting the white contrast stitching and piping, I was expecting the lighter interior to get black stitching/piping like the MDX Advance. Looks like they're keeping it white. Missed opportunity but not a deal breaker as I definitely want a parchment/tan interior on my next vehicle.

Quick Reply: Any idea when the 2019s will hit the dealerships?
