CDs and DVDs are disappearing faster than LPs did. I recently realized that the only working disk player I still own is the one in my wife's 10-year old Win 7 desktop box. I better get all my CDs ripped onto my 4-Tb drive before that dies.

Anyone who has DVD-A's just sitting around, I'd be happy to take them off your hands. I use them in my RL :)

Which remote starter are you getting installed? The "$399" additional accessory remote starter?

Give us some feedback on the new install after using it for few days? I have heard mixed reviews on the whole app remote starter situation.

that's the program and instructions i used to get my same demo disc onto a flash drive. wish there were more discs like that out there because the difference in the sound of the music is huge. There are sites out there selling HD music but its some kind of conversion and I don't think its recorded that way and they don't sound the same. Many are not 5.1 just HD stereo.

There are actually 4 versions of the Acura ELS Demo DVD-A. The first was from 2004, then 2005, then 2007 and 2009. There was also a Bose DVD-A given away with the Acura RL's, but that was not mainstream music.

I think as long as it's not 'sold', just 'gifted' it's okay? Maybe?

I think it kind of follows the same line as the old Napster fiasco. I am pretty sure the RIAA would frown on it. If it was okay to do so, I have lots of FLAC files as do several others on here

It really depends on the terms of the license agreement as to whether 'gifting' is allowed. Most licenses allow that so long as you don't keep a copy for yourself. Think of it like a book - you can give the book away but in that case you don't have a copy for yourself. Unfortunately in today's digital world making a copy of something is as easy as clicking an icon so people think it's OK.
