Accessory Installation issue with RDX Advance Package

I’m new to this forum and this is my first Acura. I bought accessories from dealership to install last week on a brand new RDX Advance package and I was told that the lower and rear lower bumper trims couldn’t be installed because of a vin number/Advance package. Is there a way to install the lower and rear bumper trims without damaging any electrical wiring or create any other issues? I also bought an 10 year extended warranty for 2900 and 1700 on a maintenance package plan for 4 years, are these good prices? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I was in a similar situation a few months back, I really wanted that trim piece so I purchased it without doing the proper research.

The trim piece cannot be (easily) installed because of the hands-free power tailgate. Fortunately, I was able to return the part to the dealership as I didn't want to throw more money at finding a solution to get the trim piece installed.

Maybe the kick sensor can be relocated with the hands-free access sensor unit from the trailer hitch instructions?

Thanks for the feedback and info!! Very helpful. I actually contacted the Acura customer relations’ office and the issue with the Acura website that would allow you to order accessories that can’t be installed will be corrected. Unfortunately, I was informed that there was nothing could be done about this problem, so I’m gonna have to deal with it. I was actually going back and forth between the Advance and A-Spec packages, but since I thought I could enhance the look of the RDX with accessories, I went for the Advance package deal.
