I do not personally like black cars or white ones. But, IMO, you could pick anything and it will look good. My canyon bronze just looks like brown at night and on a cloudy day, but in the sun, it sparkles. The electric blue and the red stand out from a mile away. The black and grey look sleek to me, and the white pearl has deep and interesting tones. You really can’t go wrong.
We prefer a light interior, so that helped cut down the choices a bit for us.

I didn't do it.
There has been some attrition ( dumped it ), but every once in a while a "dumper" comes back to heckle. The first to go seemed to trade his cars every few months. No stamina.

Because of survivorship bias, everyone on here is going to tell you the car is great.

Hopefully not a lemon 🍋
We will pick up our 2020 RDX A-spec (white on black) on Wednesday. I liked the gray but my wife was not a fan. So, I caved.
I'm super excited about the car, and fingers crossed it will be problem free. I test drove q5, glc, xc60, and x3. The only car that i liked slightly better than rdx was x3, but the improvements didn't worth the ectra $$$.

Congrats on the purchase. Hope you like a rattley interior. Car is fun though.

Reliability-wise, hopefully, Acura lives up to its reputation and i wont regret my pick.

Actually the reputation is not good. They have done poorly in recent surveys. Surprising for me too as I had in my memory that Acura was the pinnacle of reliability. One survey showed them rated at 6th from bottom.

According to consumer reports till 2018, rdx was the most reliable Acura. Since 2019, this has changed mostly due to infotainment issues. Im not too worried about the software issue as it will eventually get resolved.

Acura RDX Reliability - Dashboard Light

If you are buying the RDX because you like it, that's cool. If you are buying it for reliability, it's the wrong car.
Here's Lexus RX for comparison:

I always like it when people quote or refer to Consumer Reports. When it shows that your car is good, they are all over it. When it shows that your car sucks, then it is a biased rag that collects data selectively, etc...and does not represent reality.
Safe to say that some people have the RDX and like it. No major issues with transmission, infotainment, rattles, etc, while other longtime Acura fans are fed up with Acura response that their problems. I think some of the infotainment issues may be a function of what you use...ie....if you don't use Waze while listening to music via USB memory stick, or if you don't have heads up display or don't care about names of locations, then the infotainment might be working perfectly. I bet some owners don't even use any of the tech.

As far as black color... this is my first car with black color, I always was against black cars, but turns out I absolutely love it.
Aspec in majestic black pearl looks amazing, and btw, its not your typical black color, it has hints of pearl that sparkles in the sun, very nice color combo

I heard that ‘once you go black, you never go back’. So, be fore warned.

In my personal handbook, reliability for luxury car means zero or very few "unscheduled" trips to the dealer during warranty period. After warranty period is up, i would trade my car for a newer model or try a different brand. Hopefully this new purchase will live up to this standard of mine.

As I said, i pulled the trigger on 2020 RDX based on being fun to drive and $$$$. I dont think i would keep it for more than 4 or 5 years, as I live in Canada, and with our harsh winters, maintaining a luxury car out of warranty might damage your wallet.

Picked up my A-spec RDX last night. I have driven it for about 100km in heavy rain, and so far i love it. Tested most of the electronics like ACC and LKAS, NAV, bluetooth, and XM. No issues to complain.

Get one, then u can join in the forums here of how much of a lemon it really is. I wouldn't touch a 4 bangin' turbo with a ten foot pole, the electronics are horrid for a new Honda release. Lexus would be the wiser choice

Hey, mikey, why dont you go to lexus forums and troll there. Adios amigos!

Actually, consumer reports does not recommend redesigned 2019 rdx due to reliability issue which is vastly caused by infotainment problems. I, personally, made my decision based on how fun to drive the rdx is, and not based on reviews i read here and there.

From my personal experience it was always easy to car shop....just get the next Acura. Hopefully I will feel this way again soon.

Hey smarty pants, the Lexus competitor to the RDX also has a 2.0L turbo, as does every other competitor in this segment.

If infotainment is the only reason RDX got bad consumer reviews, this is a joke. My infotainment only crashed once in 3 weeks, and I think I figured out how to use it without crashing. In the worst case scenario, just stop using CarPlay. The car is very good in all other aspects. The infotainment is way down on my list of things I care.

Most of the time, like today for instance, I don’t even hook up Carplay. I would love it if I could start the car, plug in, and then go, and just change things as I want. We are not there yet.
