2020 RDX A-Spec On Order
Hi to all !
As I placed an order for a 2020 A-spec this weekend, I did have some overall q's that I thought you all might be able to answer:
- Tire change:
As I'm seriously considering changing the (if they still come with) CrapYear RSA's, has anyone moved up to 265/45 r20's? The comparison puts them very close, but since they are a bit larger tire, not sure of any rubbing issues. (1) is the OEM tire size (255/45 r20):
- XM Sat:
Does the RDX come with XM Traffic / Travel link as well at Sat radio ? If not what does it use - if anything for traffic updates, ect.
Thanks !

Don't change your tire specs as it will hinder performance...
The traffic is handled by HD signals from local areas and is ok, but not great as you have to look at the display to see if the highway condition changes from green to yellow or red. Definitely not nearly as good as Google Maps or Waze

Just furthering the Q here: In regards to the up-sizing of the tires, are you speaking in a general sense or specifically in regards to the RDX ? I as because generally speaking, so long as the circumference is < 3% growth; and notwithstanding there are no figment issues, then there should be no adverse affects in the performance of the vehicle.
Overall tire growth:

I think from a pricing perspective MSRP should not the litmus test for costing, rather what the dealer pays for the car. I realize that most of us are not fortunate enough to get that info; I'm at $800.00 over what they [will] pay for the car. Looking at late June / early July delivery.

Again, I'm at $800 over what they pay for the car - which would equate to ~ $4.5k - 5k off MSRP. That's before any incentive so I would expect the final discount to be even higher.

Regardless, they want to sell the 19s first, so in most cases the previous year model will be offered for less then the new incoming year. Additionally, a buyer is able to get a larger discount on any "old stock" as the dealer is paying more "floor plan" or "flooring" (short term financing from the manufacturer) on them.
