2019 RDX Tech NVH vs 2018?

How does the NVH in the new 2019 RDX Tech compare with the 2018? Want to make sure the road, tire, wind noise and driving experience is an improvement over the 2018.

I'm not interested in the much more $$$ Advance, but am very interested if the 2019 Tech is worth it.

I did not go on highway, but felt the 19 is very quiet except under acceleration when the damn 4 banger is very clearly announcing its presence.

I just traded in my 17 to get the 19MY RDX. Cabin is much quieter than 2nd Gen in terms of wind and tire noise. Mainly you could only hear booming sound from the turbo engine under the hood which gives you more aggressive and sportier driving experience. Plus, new RDX has active control system to output sound to neutralize and balance environmental noises.

Hope it finds you well.

Agreed.

The cabin is very quiet.
The engine sound is there even in Comfort mode.
I don't find it at all objectionable. My immature inner self even thinks it's kinda cool.

You need to judge for yourself.

How does the engine sound with radio on? Does the radio shut off the fake engine sound being pumped in? I have never been in a car with pumped in sound so I have no idea what is sounds like..
I would think with the radio on that would overtake the fake noise...

I tend to listen to the audio rather loud and boomy so I'm not the best judge.
The audio definitely trumps any engine noise.

I wonder why people is saying fake engine sound. To my knowledge, it only has active sound control system to neutralize noise.

From what I've read about these systems, they amplify the intake and pump it through the speakers making it sound "fake". It's the engine noise, but made louder. The thinking is this drowns out the outside road/wind noise. I've never experience it so I don't know what it sounds like.
