Someone tell me if I'm wrong, but is this the A-Spec in majestic black pearl? (looks black to me)

Allegedly the new ELS 3D system will play 5.1 .wav files from a USB stick, files you could source from your DVD-A's, SACD's, and DVDs. There will NOT be a disc player in the new RDX. That's for certain. The graphic showing the Bonnie Raitt track as DVD-A 5.1 was from a DVD-A rip to USB stick.

Still, this is AWESOME NEWS!! 5.1 from USB opens a LOT of possibilities for great surround in the car.

Agree. I hope this is not the Apex Blue they're talking about - that just doesn't register with me at all, sorry. I'm a Blue guy, but not just any blue. My '17 RDX is in Fathom Blue Pearl (below), which is definitely the hue I'm hoping the '19 will have something similar to. The blue that's on Acura's '19 RDX splash page is more like it, which looks identical to FBP to my untrained eye.

Do you guys think that the "butterknife" (heard the Acura rep call it by this when doing the walkaround) at bottom of car's sides on the A-Spec will be chrome on the black exterior model as opposed to the black strip on the white and blue version?

I was told by my local dealer June 1 they will have them for sale. Also that blue looks nothing like that in person. Unless the one I seen was not a production color.

Same account also has an interior video. Video says the color is gray but it looks almost tan. The contrast stitching/piping is black as it should be.

So, there are two blue colors for the 2019 RDX. The Fathom Blue Pearl is a carry-over from 2018 (and previous years [my 2017 is FBP]) and it comes with Graystone interior ONLY. Apex Blue is new for 2019 and it's an A-Spec exclusive. It comes with a choice of Ebony or Red interior (with the Red being an A-Spec exclusive).

I work for Honda. I shot that video at work. I was not sure I was supposed to shoot a video or not so I tried to hide my phone. That is why the quality of the video is so bad. I was told by a dealer there was only 1 blue. But I do hope you are correct that they have two blues since I did not care for the blue in the video I made. The interior was a very light gray and it looked awesome. I was very impressed with how everything looked on the RDX. So I will be getting one when they place it on our purchase program for a discount.

Thank you for posting the video -- the color combos are exactly what I'm planning to buy in a few months and it was awesome to see what the Fathom Blue Pearl exterior and Graystone interior look like together. (I know you don't like that particular blue...lol. Maybe you'll like the brighter Apex Blue [only in A-Spec, though].)

Edit: Sorry, but from all available info, like I said, the Apex Blue is an A-Spec exclusive, but then that only comes in either Ebony or Red interior -- not the light gray (Graystone) interior you like.

Too dark to be silver so that's probably the Modern Steel Metallic. It does look good and doesn't cost an extra $400.

Dark gray A-SPEC looks awesome with the black trim. I'm not going A-SPEC (Advanced most likely) but I'd be tempted by that color choice if it wasn't for the fact I finally want a black car this go around.

In the midst of the tome that is the Acura press release, a chart indicates that Fathom Blue pearl will be available with Greystone or Ebony interiors. Also, Lunar Silver will be available with Ebony, Greystone or Saddle. The Fathom Blue/Ebony combo surprised me, because I haven't seen it cited elsewhere. I have seen conflicting data on the Lunar Silver/Saddle combo. I hope these combos are valid.

Here are the charts for reference. Kinda surprised Lunar Silver isn't available with red interior on the A-Spec, seems like it should be a standard color combo. Lunar Silver and Espresso does seem a bit odd. Also Modern Steel A-Spec available with red interior only and not black

Like the TLX Aspec, the Modern Steel in my opinion is too tonal with the shark grey rims. I'd like to see what Lunar Silver looks like as it was never offered in the TLX Aspec.

Have not seen red in person. I did make an offer on a red one for $700 off and was told to go away.
