Question 2019 Advance Driver Seat Memory

Is it my imagination or are others noticing that the Driver’s Seat Memory does not work as its intended when starting the car? I have my seat position set up to move back when I turn off the car & open the door. Sometimes it moves back slightly & other times more. And the seat does not always reset to my original Drivers position 1. Usually it does not come forward enough & I have to manually reset it & lock it in again or readjust the mirrors. Anyone else experiencing this??

My 11 MDX does this when battery voltage is low. A lot more power hungry tech on the RDX compared to my MDX Adv/Ent.

I'm pretty sure my seat returns to the preset position each time I start the car or press the power mode to on. Or, at least close enough so that I don't really notice a difference. It also goes [almost] all the way back when I open the door. Sometimes, I stop it manually from moving back all the way because I put my day pack on the floor behind it and it's a little too tight to the second row seat. I think I can shut that feature off but I like it. I'm 6'2" and it really makes getting in and out a lot easier. But it all seems to work as advertised.

If you're sure it's not behaving as it should, have the dealer look at it next time you bring it in. But verify it against what the manual says first. I'm the only one who drives my car, so both presets are the same. Try setting up a completely different preset for #2 and see if it goes between them properly when selected.

Peek at the memory light. If that light is not on, then memory is inactive.

Works fine for me, I have switched it on and then off for some time. It's back on now. It is keyed to the two different remotes that come with the car so either make sure you're using the correct remote or turn it on for both remotes(drivers) and save the settings for your seat to both drivers.

AGM battery that are in ‘19 RDX design for power hungry tech, unlike conventional battery that they use before..so low voltage is unlikely on new car
