2019 or 2020 RDX Purchase

2019 or 2020 RDX Purchase

I am negotiating on a RDX w/Tech. My dealer has both 2019 and 2020 in the color I want,in stock. He offers $2000 difference in price. It seems to me that the depreciation for what is essentially a year old car, should be more than $2K. Any thoughts on what is be a better option is appreciated.

The answer depends on what the starting price is. Also, is this SH-AWD? There's really no depreciation on a 2019 car that's titled as new and 2K off for a 2019 is good IF the starting package you negotiated is good.

Tech FWD? What kind of price are they offering? If I were buying a 2019 FWD Tech here in Raleigh I'd be shooting for 38K before destination and other charges.

Good advice. My Rep is off until Monday. Then we will sit down. I’ll let you know how it goes. 38K/2019. Or 40K / 2020

Good. You have time to do your homework. Go to CarGurus to see what other dealers are listing the cars for. Check out the Prices Paid thread to see what kind of deals others are getting (You might want to post over there and see what others recommend). Don't fall for the dealer "add-ons" like extended warranty and paint protection. If you want an extended warranty you can get one after you purchase for a good price from other dealers, such as Hyannis Honda.
