justnspace and I have been discussing setting up a Twisted Sisters cruise sometime early October when the weather gets cooler.

There will be BBQ, Apple ice cream and 200 miles of some the best roads in Texas!

Right now we're trying to establish a date that will work for most of those that are interested.

Date: October 12th, 19th, or 26th
Time: TBD

I will update this post as the planning progresses.

Please feel free to chime in!

After adjusting the route on Google Maps it is 258 miles from start to finish. Starting Point is NW San Antonio and ends back at the same location in NW San Antonio at 1604 & Bandera Rd or we could take I10 from Kerville down to San Antonio..

We can also start in Kerville and end in Kerville (218 miles) or the same in Boerne. Either way it's going to be a drive for the Houston crew. So you'll probably want to spend the night to get the most out of it.

I'll pm you the route if your interested.

I have gone on the twisted sisters many many times. It is well worth it. If you heard of the Dragons Tail, this one is similar but way way way longer. Its named one of the top 10 roads to drive in the country for a reason.

Champ, I highly don't recommend the RDX due to it being a SUV. You need a car that can handle those curves. I won't even chance taking this old beater Camry out there.

The RDX will drive it better then the 3G TL IMO.

AWD > FWD

I drove the RDX hard a few days ago at tough curves and it felt better then the TL.

I'm going to put my vote in for the October 19th

Once I get a head count of who's going I will PM the route.

For those coming in from out of town I will will contact the Holiday Inn off of 1604 and Braun to get group rates after we figure out when we're going. Unless y'all want to stay closer to DT San Antonio/Boerne/Kerrville or are going to drive back.

If the meeting time is at 8, it looks like people from out of town will have drive down the night before.

I can setup the hotel as well. Dennis it's really a 3 hour drive. Eating, sight seeing and stuff may take the other 3 hours. Id try to plan to be here by 4 Saturday. We can all hit up somewhere to eat or go to the riverwalk

Hope everyone can make it.

Sorry forgot about that. I'd much rather spend Saturday night with the with out of towners!!

Would making the drive on early Sunday be a better option (reason for early: Significantly less traffic?) That means y'all could take your time coming in Saturday and we can do a meet and greet dinner, drinks, etc.

Or

Drive later Saturday afternoon. Dinner, etc that night. Then you could rest up Sunday and drive back? It really is up to those coming in from out of town.

TheChamp531 & TLDude876: Let me know how I can help and how the Texas Acura Folk like things setup. With my other 2 seater car groups it's usually just spirited drivers in and out for the day. I want to make sure everyone enjoys these great roads and comes back for more!!

I think option 1 is better.

I can get us a decent hotel for a good price thanks to Mr. Tran from our last meet.

I'll see what I can do in regards to that and make a 'official' thread without all the information once everything is finalized.
