I didn't do mine.... the guys at Frys did. THey did a good job. I think u can pay em like 20 bucks on the side and they'll do it for you. Do you have the hardwire kit?

Isn't there a more targeted spot for the radar to be? I thought hanging it too high doesn't optimally catch radars or was that a myth.

Buy the hardwire stuff (wire) on ebay (got mine for $7 shipped) & I bought the a fuse holder thingy at oreilly & wired mine myself. Its up by my rear view like Ralphs.

Be careful with those radar detectors guys.

If the po po is using laser, it a quick point and shoot, in a narrow path. The radar detector has nothing to detect until its too late, with laser speed detectors. Radar detectors will only get you in trouble if your shot with laser.

Your basically gambling that a given po po is using a radar speed detector, and the gun is on, or in use at the time your approaching.
