Houston-Area Acura Dealer PARTS Dept.

I eschew dealerships as much as possible. But for various reasons, I've had occasion recently to purchase parts from a local dealership. Sterling McCall Acura, which is in southwest Houston (Belt. & Hwy. 59), has done right by me thus far. Justin, in the parts department, has discounted prices a little bit to help compete with the online vendors (though I still have to pay sales tax, I don't have to pay shipping, and at least sales tax goes to the state for roads that I can drive my Acuras on). The cool thing with the dealer is that they can usually have the parts the next day, and with the 5% or 10% discount they're giving me, they average $2-5 more than online prices (when you factor in shipping and such). I still prefer to order online, for a number of reasons, but if you need something in a pinch, Sterling is a good place to go, IMO.

I dunno how I forgot his name, but John Eagle Acura probably have the cheapest parts (well before anyways). I remember right after I bought my A SPEC kit for $793 from Tim in 08' the parts manager would match and beat Tim by making it $700 + tax.

Either way its good. You can always help your local dealer or help a AZ vendor.

I know a few guys here go to Gillman. Not sure who their service advisor is. Hopefully they will chime in.

most members do work on their own cars. Q use to take his car to gillman to this specific technician, but now he doesnt work there any more. Im not sure where Q takes it now.

Just take it in there and hopefully u'll get a good adviser. Or look up on google adn see what people have to say about them.
