The academy and class work is going good, just another month & a half to go.

Good luck to your son this weekend. Are they going to be in the Dallas cup? I am going with a friend of mine on Sunday evening to Frisco to see the U-19 Real Madrid & Man U. game. It should be a good match. I also plan to go on Wednesday because they have a couple of teams from the mexico professional soccer schools playing.

No they won't be in it this year. They limited the number of teams by letting only U14 and up play this year.

We usually try to make a game or two, but not sure as we have some other tournaments coming up. I'll have to let you know when State Cup is in case you want to try and make one of those.

Anyone got a tire connection? I'm looking at replacing my F_u_kens ( you fill in the blanks) in the next couple months. Got about 22k on them now which is better than th 18k on the Yukahomas. I was out pricing on TireRack and DiscountTires and I can drop a prety penny on some decent Z rated performance tires. I was looking at maybe saving where i can to get the better tires. Faulkens have a softer sidewall and a little more give on cornering than the Yoka's. Yoka's definitely performed on cornering but man...I got to go more than 18k miles on tires.

Send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you some spreadsheets on selecting tires.

If you are looking for an all around performer here's 2 to look at.

General Exclaim UHP - good price and I think 02 is looking at getting these.

Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S - a little bit more but a good tire. I got this one now and it's very close to the preformance of Ultra highperformance summer tires, plus it an all season tire.

Ive got a hook up through discount, My old boss owns a trucking company and he sends all the trucks there to get new tires....I can prolly swing a deal. I am getting Generals. The guy at discount said they are bad ass, very low treadware, very quiet, excellent performance. I got qouted like 100 bucks each (mounted/balanced) for 225/40/18's

I'll have to keep that in mind as the reviews are very good so far.

The P Zeros are about $34 more a tire and they've been the closest thing to the Toyo T1S.

I've had both the T1-S and P Zero Neros, both are awesome tires, but the T1-S stinks in the winter if we have ice or snow and they lasted only 18K . . . yes, I was really hard on them . . .

This is a scale or 5=Best and 0=Worst

Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S
Dry..Wet..Snow...Handling..Comfort...Noise...Tread wear
4.7_4.4___3.3___4.5______4.5_____4.5____4.2

General Exclaim UHP Tires
Dry..Wet..Snow...Handling..Comfort...Noise...Tread wear
4.4_4.2__2.6____4.4_______4.2____4.1____4.3

Toyo Proxes T1R Tires
Dry..Wet...Snow...Handling.. Comfort...Noise...Treadwear
4.6_4.6__0.0____4.4_______4.4____4.3____4.1

Toyo Proxes T1-S Tires
Dry..Wet..Snow...Handling..Comfort...Noise...Tread wear
4.8_4.5__0.0____4.6_______4.2____3.8____3.5

I think you would want high treadwear, not low treadwear. Excellent prices though.
