You're about 1.5-2 hrs from Austin.. real easy going drive though.. like driving from Seattle to Bellingham..

San Antonio is nice.. it's a big sprawled out city though.. Austin is awesome.. outstanding nightlife & lots of places to spend the day including some real nice cruising areas..

Only bad thing is you're moving here at the start of summer.. I suggest getting ceramic tint all around. Remember you're in Texas now.. 5% that puppy.. lol.

Wow but so many other cars I've seen, there tint is less than 20%. Anyway, I don't really car cause my 20% looks like 25% in the sun. But yeah I rep the northwest side of San antonio by sea world LOL

a lot of cars have illegal tints around here, but cops barely pull people over just for tints.
unless u get pulled over for something else and they notice the tint, but the smart thing to do would be to roll all the windows down.

i think its 25% on sides and no limit on back windows

out of all the times i've been pulled over, only once a cop actually said my tints were illegal but he let me go. (same cop pulled me over twice for no front license plates)

Its Texas DPS that you need to worry about with the window tint. It gives them a reason to pull you over.

The law in TX is 25% net on the sides, and any % darkness on the rear window. Net % is the total light transmitted, this can be achieved by applying 35% film on clear glass.

.. so you may stay in WA? I have two close friends who work for Boeing out of Everett. One is an EE the other is an ME. What position are you applying for? My gf also got a job offer with Boeing before we moved to Texas. They tried to lowball her.. instead of negotiating she took a better offer in TX. Another friend of ours who was given an offer from Boeing asked 15k more than their offer and they accepted.. The interview process is not intense and they may present you with an informal job offer on the spot, but don't be discouraged if they don't. My best advice is to stay relaxed and professional. They're going to test how you respond, the answer doesn't always have to be right. Btw, are you an engineer?

Getting back to the budget.. if you can swing in the area of $20k.. you could definitely score a type-s.. but you have to be patient.. otherwise get a base TL ~12k and use the residuals for the turbo setup

Nooo.. Haha. The interview process is going to be down here in TX. My mom also transfered down here in TX from WA because up in Everett, signs are no good.

I'll look into it. I just have to be patient about everything...

I agree. There is a huge car meet every friday night at Biff Buzby's. Maybe we can set up a date for a meet. I went with ckrowland (an ex cl first genner) and it was pretty cool. We got there really late after getting lost and going on an e-brake drifting, oncomeing traffic adventure.. (long story)
Anyways, here is the info.

BIFF BUZBY'S FRIDAY NIGHT! (weather pending)

Here's the address:
12702 Toepperwein Rd Ste 130
Live Oak, TX 78233

Here's a link to the map/directions if needed:
http://.com/36mqhc

Every Friday night a large group of cars of all sorts get together at Biff Buzby's Hamburgers on the North/East side of San Antonio (near the I35/1604 interchange, Live Oak-Universal City area).

There is usually a large turnout starting an hour or two before dark, until midnight or later sometimes. I've seen everything from Bel Aires to 66 Shelby Stangs, Cobra kit Cars, Lambos, 12 Z06 vettes (at once), a lot of Stangs and LS1 Powered GM products, etc. There are usually a few exotics/imports, but mostly american muscle. Also some nice and some rice imports aswell.

It is a large parking lot with room for plenty of cars, and it usually fills up (100+ cars is not un-common). The tire-smokers and burnout kings usually aren't too bad, so you don't have to worry about gravel flying or an accident. It's a generally older crowd (especially around the classics), with a few relatively younger folks mixed in, and never any drama.

Hey guys. I am back after a long LOA. I just got back into the Acura scene and picked myself up a new to me TL type-s below. I use to run a site and get the local Acura guys together once a month for meet/dinner. Hope to get it going again.
