Anybody have a 4G TL with 19" wheels in Houston TX?
I am thinking to upgrade my 17" to a set of 19" but have been wondering how much it will affect the ride and comfort.
If someone has a similar setup and doesn't mind, I'd like to test drive a bit before making the switch. I'll be happy to buy you lunch or coffee as you wish
Thanks!

I dont have a 4G, but I have 19" on my 3G... You just have to be prepared to lose a little of the cushion you get from the tires. Most likely, you will go down 2 profiles on the tires.(i.e.from 50 series to a 40 or from 45 to a 35, and such)... You will have to be more careful for potholes and bumps. And most likely you will want it lowered after going to 19s. Thin sidewalls do not look right on a standard height car. I'm rolling 19s on 245/35 tires with Koni shocks on H&R sport springs, with the Konis set on the lowest perch in the front.

Holly! Since the thread was moved here, I had no idea I got some replies.
Thanks for the info. I'll probably go with 245/40-19. I like the look of 19"s but I am not sure if I can live with the ride and noise as some has pointed out. Tire cost will be $1000 so I want to make a informed decision.
Thanks I've already got a set of 19s RLX wheels in the garage but not sure if I want to make the switch yet.
So, can any Houstonian let me ride with them on his 4G TL with 19"s?

I’ve had my setup for a little over a week now and I have zero complaints. If anything it rides better than before. Currently on tein basics, and 225/45/19 but I’m switching over to 235/40/19 and lowering a tad bit more. As far as driving in it... I don’t even let my wife drive it lol and I’m always working so I figured I’d at least give you my input... do it!
