Okay, so I went there and I saw two shops . . a Salon and the Razor's Edge, which was closed . . . I circled thru 3 times, but didn't see anyone. It was 4:20, so maybe it was too late. Would have been there sooner, but the game ran over due to altercations with the opposing coach being removed from the field. And this was in the U12 league . . . man, what will it be like in a few years?

Skyline? Yesh, that what I say on the way to the soccer game today.

At first I thought it was a 240z with an aftermarket kit and emblems . . . I could also detect the distinct sound of a turbo wastegate . . .

He came up behind me really quick and slowed next to me and popped it a few times . . . I thought could it really be and I lowered my right window and yelled . . . "nice and a turbo too!?" he gave me the thumbs up and said it's a true Skyline from Japan. It was then I noticed it was righthand drive and knew it had to be the real thing.

Anyway, he wanted to play, but we couldn't find a clear spot and when we did there was Plano's finest . . . good thing we didn't hit it . . . especially since I had both boys with me. Finally we got a bit of a clearing and from 45mph we hit it . .. I must say I expected him to walk on me even tho I was in the sweet spot of our powerband . . . he barely pulled me if at all up to 75mph. I'm thinking that thing really isn't as fast as they say . . . or it's in major need of a tune up . . . and maybe someone that can speedshift as I could hear him winding out the gears and the turbo spooling, but his shifts seemed a bit slow, not bad, just slow . .. maybe those things have heavy clutches and he wasn't used to it.

Oh well, fun while it lasted!

are you kidding . . . . it's never done with a woman.

on the other hand, yes, we did get that major remodeling done, and I just finished the upstairs . . . 2 coats of paint, crown molding, new hinges and door nobs, painted all the wood trim including 7 doors and 2 cabinets . . . oh, patched 2 holes where there used to be an intercom . . . and screwed down the decking and stairs before the carpet was replaced . . . sighm, now she wants to rehang some things and paint my office . . . that would finally be it . . . unless she wants to start with the back bedroom and bathroom again . . . it's be 3-4 yrs so it must be do!

What are you planning for engine mods (in add. to the CAI)? Any other bolt-ons you can do to a Teg?

Thanks.
I am awaiting a few flanges, but almost ready to install is:

JTM ITR DC Sports Stainless Steel 2.5" Header --> Type One Racing (T1R) 2.5 " resonated Test Pipe ---> Type One Racing 2.5" Stainless Steel full exhaust.
Mugen Cooling mods (that may be included in a Mod meet with Ruf). That'll do for now anyway. After that, with my particular engine and some Drag Radials (and some launching practice) Previous owner (educated car enthusiast) states car should be able to to click off High 13's in the 1/4.

Is that the stock 1.7l GSR engine you're starting with?

1.8l DOHC VTEC, not the stock engine. OEM is B18 c1, this is a B18 C3 (95-98 ITR) engine. So I'm a little ahead of the game.

At the track the other night (for my first time out with a manual) Pulled a 15.2@94 mph, and a best 60 ft. of 2.3 Stock tires...I need to practice my launching, holy wheel hop

Is the B18C3 the Type-R engine? Those are really rev-happy --- and probably pretty tough to launch properly.

there's many different levels for the Skyline. not all of them are the GTR. the others aren't slugs really but they're not the monster the GTR was.

My folks are gonna go look at it tomorrow and if it turns out well then I'mma buy it. Still, keeping my options open. Been looking at used GS300s and stuff around that size.

It wasn't a GTR . . . no badging to indicate otherwise.

Still, a fairly nice looking car . . . and I'm sure it would be fun to have and mod.

I think he said something about being on him . . . .

Also, not sure, but I think anyone can go to this link under the regular registration option . . . if that works we need to see who all is interested and what day.

Humm, Saturday could work . . but it would be later than 10:30. Anyone else thinking about going?

PS: Speaking of Casper . . . where has he disappeared to? Still got the Max? We need him to pop over and do some post whoring . . . SacTown is closing the gap. Without him and Danny we've really slowed down.
