Ok some of you have shown interest in a twisty country run. Well I wanted to run by you guys this date. 9-25 same day as pz meet

All groups are expected to be at the meeting location by no later than 7:30am fueled and ready to go. We will have a brief drivers meeting and a few directions will be handed out. The first car will leave the parking lot at 8:00am. This is early but is important so that we miss the slow traffic.

The meeting location has a gas station and a McDonalds to allow both of your tanks to fill up if you arrive early.

We will run the roads around Anderson, to the lunch meeting point after we will be doing the run in reverse or else we will have a alternative run that will take us to Tomball. Either way you can expect some nice sweeping curves to test your tread.

im gonna be at work and dont think i'll be able to take advantage of the twisties anyways since i have a new clutch and it will have to be broken in.

I think we can discuss this in houston thread first and once we decide on a date then a new thread can be started.

Lol of course they will when we have nose heavy J-Series motors under our hood. The only place we can beat them is on straight lines but as soon as we enter corners,they'll catch up.

Great roads out there. I'm stuck at work that morning, so I'm out. I used to run those roads all the time when I had my Civic.
Keep an eye out for the cyclists out there. I know quite a few that are out in that area on Saturdays.

Looks like you had a good time emanuel You split that tire thats a sign of a very good time. The rest of you all need to get out there, its fun. I tried today with the nsx. I did all right but with my clutch I was only performing at half capacity. Still have fun though.

And here's the damage my crappy tire on my OEM wheels suffered from so much twisty cornering,it was the only tire to suffer any sort of damage (note: not the tires on my 3G TL wheels)

It still took me home regardless of the damage,and still holds air in it til now.

Edit: Yea i really did have fun,sucks you gotta pay 1200 for JUST a clutch..would gladly joing yall for another run in the future.

Man that vid is awesome. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to edit it. You can really see the g forces with the sandle swinging in the window lol. I want to try this in a tl. If someone wants to drive my miata ill be happy to drive there tl lol.

I cant remember how fast i took those turns but i do remember i didnt go with what the speed limit said hence why my crappy tire got eaten up like that.
And as for you Justin,you better get that clutch in before the next one comes up! Or at least get the chally!!
