I kinda put the TL to sleep for winter. I destroyed a tire and kinked my RF fender due to the tire. Not bad but its not beautiful anymore. Was about to put it on jack stands and start working on the motor and tranny swap. J35a8 6 speed. Losing motivation on it tho lol Not looking forward to spending any more money. 3500 in the swap and need about 2k in parts and tons of labor. We can set something up soon. If my cars gets torn into I always have my daily.

That's what I'm talking about, after awhile you just get tired of doing work on the car...lol. I've decided the meth kit I'm adding is the LAST modification I'll ever do, besides just the routine maintenance. Now I just wanna enjoy the car. I was gonna ask how the progress was coming along Travis, but I guess your'e feeling like me..lol

LOL..good choice, a house is way better; grown up responsiblites...lol. Sell the swap, pay off the car payment, you'll have more freedom and other options. Once I paid off the TL, that's when I went hard on modding.
lol yeah slow progress. I mean the motor is apart and trying to have it soda blasted to clean it up, as well as the new sub frame and such. Was going to turbo, but I've decided a house is more important. Hell im on the fence about swapping it now too lol If I swap it ill never get my moneys worth out of it that it cost me when I sell it. May just sell the damn swap if I don't make progress here soon... lol Ill have the car payed off in Oct of this year. May part out then and get a get a civic type r or a ctsv or something. Looking into new silverados too. Who knows. lol Im all over the place

After I sold the GTI I got tired of modding as well. Still have that urge to improve on things. But with the CC, it's just best to keep it stock.
Well, I've been talking with my friend whose the GM at David Mc David Acura. If anyone is interested in doing a meet up there let me know.

Thanks Duronn, put the word out now and let me know. Maybe after it warms up a bit. Hes having a white NSX delivered in April with red interior. Maybe that weekend it comes in we can do the meet.
Burning Brakes
I plan on moving to Austin before this upcoming Fall. It looks like there isn't much of a Acura car scene in that area so I look forward to taking the trip up to Dallas or over to Houston.
Still here as well; my TL has just become my daily though. My Z has become my current money-grabber.

We need to do like a Starbucks meet or something like we did back in the day. Just so we can get faces with the names. That will give us the bug to meet up more

Well, a lot has happened - been battling serious health issues for some time.
Anyway, I was cleaning up some files and found the old thread - glad to see you guys are still around.
Depending on where you guys go and when, I may drop in.

Im not a starbucks fan and work a weird schedule 6pm-6am mon and tues and 6am-6pm fri and sat. I don't have to go inside tho haha Cars changed a lot since anyone on here saw it over a year ago lol We do need to meet up more. I made a few meets and was the only one to show on multiple occasion so I stopped trying to get people to go. Last one at least 5 ppl said they would make it to the one I set up at Gas Monkey and I drove 45 minutes there for no one to show up... smh

NBP you're doing great. I've been there. It's hard to get people from Facebook onto the forum. Especially if they've never been to AZ. We can just set up our own ones and if people come they come. nail Rick and I would meet up al the time and sometimes it would just be us. Sometimes we'd have a bunch. Starbucks is just easy. But I get what you're saying about being in Arlington. We used to meet at this guy Petes house in Keller. Those used to get big.

hah! The grass grows back! I just think most people stay on FB because its easier to extract information instead of searching. That has been my experience for most of these fb groups. Anyway just let me know when you guys want to do it.
I think Sunday used to be our typical meet up day in the past. We're closed, so that day always works for me.
