If y'all plan on heading up there, give me a shout. I'm in town and don't have much planned.

Homemade is just as good as a commercial SRI. I bought a Weapon-R Secret Weapon cheap on ebay for $70. They generally sell for $150+.. You can get the dragon intake for around $75-100 I believe. Your local options will probably be limited - CL it.. lol.

What is your experience with the weapon-R Secret? Is it a SRI?

My TL had a homemade SRI with a large cone filter when I bought it.. I replaced it with the WR-SW (it is an SRI) and there's really no difference. The filter is foam which is not recommended since it allows an excess amount of particulates through. If I had the stock airbox I wouldn't have touched it. I investigated WR claim to their design and I even have the full pdf of their patent. Their claim has validity but I think the gains are not drastic or remarkable. I put a random bid on ebay.. thought I'd never win but I did.. in hindsight I would have rather invested in a better filter. I'm definitely not going to pay for a dyno to find out the gains.. probably not much different than the homemade SRI or any other commercial kit. The only tricky part is the intake tube from the rear bank head is metal so it encumbers the intake & it is attached to another metal vac tube.. I shifted it up and used WR supplied filter (also foam).

Gonna do a 8month in Riata. 1 Bedroom and thinking about a garage.

I should be up Monday night. I'll tell you all about it then, or Tuesday.

Our closest friends here live at Riata.. It's nice.. basketball, racquetball, tennis, huge pool w/ pool volleyball, bocce ball, running track w/ pullup station, full size workout facility.. it's damn expensive though..

You better take advantage of their facilities.. my favorite convenience is they have on-site moving trucks and a party van to take you downtown during the weekends, that way when you get f*d up you have a free ride back... or if you're like me.. you get f*d up before going out.. lol.

We're probably not going to see hail for a while but everyone at Riata who didn't have covered parking or a garage got at least $5k in body damage.. some were total losses.. I don't know how much garages are but it sure helps to beat the heat when you want to do some wrenching on the car too!.. I use our carport.

I work at the office complex across from the Riata apartments and everyone who was at the office during that storm had extensive damage. Good thing I'm an early bird and had already left and I garage my TL at home so I was safe.

We'll have to do happy hour sometime since you'll have lots of free time . There's a hole-in-the-wall place right across the freeway that has tons of beers.

We run the Medicaid program for the State of Texas as a partnership with ACS. I think the sign for our building actually says ACS since they are the primary contract holder. Accenture does the IT part of things. That's probably way more info than you wanted to know .

Yes. I used to work with Randall when he was at TMHP. I don't know what he's up to since he left, though.

Yeah, I sold those a while back and got the A-specs. Lost some money on them but you live and learn.

What's he doing now?
